The young millionaire Murray is on a cruise in hostile waters when the World War I begins.

Bob Sands' joy of life disappeared when his little brother arrived. It's not that his parents had neglected him on purpose, but of course the new baby claimed most of their attention. When Bob played noisily, he was warned not to wake the baby and forced to play away from the house. Hoping for sympathy, he tells his playmate, Hilda, about the new arrival.

Sisters Phyllis and Alithea are kept in the countryside until they reach the age of eighteen when their guardian, the Squire, takes them to London. Planning to marry them off to rich older men for mercenary reason he is thwarted when the girls both fall in love with more suitable men. When the Squire works to split the couples, the girls resort to subterfuge to gain their happiness.

Insurance adjuster John Smith leaves for a nearby town to adjust a loss. He tells Mrs. Smith that he will be home in a few days. Traveling salesman John Smith leaves for a short business trip. He also tells Mrs. Smith to expect him in a few days. Salesman John wires his wife that he will be held up until the next day. Adjuster John Smith wires his wife that he will be home on the midnight express and to have lunch ready for him. The messages get crossed and many comical misunderstandings results until all is happily resolved.

After witnessing a minor accident, a wealthy man falls in love with the nurse who treats the injured person. He cooks up a scheme in which he pretends to be sick in order to see her again.

A man becomes embittered with God when his wife dies and subsequently prohibits his daughter from attending church. The daughter defies her father and secretly continues to attend services. She is later saved from a potentially fatal situation an event which causes her father to have a change of heart and praise God for her safety.

John Gage loves Ruth West, but she marries his friend, Charles Grey. The young couple are apparently happy; a child is born to them. Suddenly Ruth discovers that her husband has been systematically robbing his employer. Threatened with imprisonment unless he refunds the money he has stolen, Grey is at his wits' end.

This play is enacted during the stormy days when Robert Emmett tried vainly to free Ireland. Con Daly loves Nora Doyle, who lives with her mother in a little cottage amid the hills and dales of old Erin. In a cave nearby the men who would free Ireland are making arms and ammunition. Robert Emmett visits them, and then goes into the enemy's camp disguised as a flute player, and returns safely. The constabulary visits a family and a riot starts, and as a result Major Kirk is shot. Desperately wounded, he is taken to the home of Mrs. Doyle. Nora and Con nurse him back to health.

Yet, "The Sinner" welcomed them into his home, offering refuge and care. His actions sparked immediate outrage among the villagers, further inflamed when he and the young woman attended church together that Sunday. Fortunately, the town's minister was a man of genuine faith, and through his tireless efforts, the outcast found acceptance and a place within the community.

The story of Silvio Pellico who was arrested on the charge of carbonarism and conveyed to the Santa Margherita prison, then moved to the Piombi at Venice The sentence of death pronounced on him in February 1822 was finally commuted to fifteen years of jail in harsh condition, and he was placed in the Spielberg, at Brünn (today's Brno).

Wealthy young sculptor Harold Harcourt has always used his wife Elena as his model and inspiration. But after a few years he aspires to create a magnificent work of art… a statue of "Youth," yet feels Elena lacks that indefinable "something," which spells Youth. Callously disregarding her feelings, he tells her she is too old turning to Ione whom he sees as the perfect model for his greatest work. As the inevitable follows Elena, broken-hearted, turns to former suitor Julian, who offers solace. Tempted to run away with Julian, she instead goes away alone leaving a note for her husband saying she trusts in him to save the situation. Conscience stricken, he smashes the work of art he has created to make amends and secure his wife's forgiveness.

Edward Thursfield, chief engineer of the bridge building firm of Henry Killick and Company, is building the largest concrete bridge in the world. Employed in the New York office is a young man named Arnold Faringay. Arnold sees an opportunity of using money from the payroll for a big deal.

Dawson, a newcomer to the division, meets Helen while the girl is riding in the freight engine with Star, his engineer. Helen ignores the fireman's offensive stares, knowing that trouble would instantly result, if she reported the matter to Star. The following day, Dawson approaches the girl telegrapher and, seizing her in his arms, kisses her.

Harry Julius was employed to produce sketches supporting the conscription drive in Australia for wartime editions of the Australasian Gazette newsreel. He was the first artist in Australia to animate cartoons for films. He successfully used caricature and satire to comment on the social, political and economic impact of World War One – from the Allies point of view. Julius's drawn animation regularly includes the appearance of animals representing the major war countries including: a battered fez-capped turkey (Turkey); a large aggressive eagle (the United States); and a Union Jack-covered bulldog or lion (the United Kingdom).

Tom promises his sweetheart, Vicky, that he will stop drinking. He falls in with boon companions, however, and in a saloon brawl, he accidentally shoots Ned, his pal. The sheriff and Vicky's brother find that Ned was only stunned by the bullet. At a rodeo, Tom meets the sheriff, who arrests Tom for the shooting of Ned.

A Laird abducts his beloved on the eve of an enforced marriage.

Two cavemen, The Duke and Stonejaw Steve, call on Miss Araminta Rockface. The hated rivals fight, and Steve wins when he throws The Duke into a pot of boiling water. A title card introduces a third rival, "our unassuming hero, Theophilus Ivoryhead." Miss Rockface invites the three men into her father's drawing room/cave, apologizing for not offering tea, since it has not been discovered yet. The Duke and Steve fight again, and everyone rushes out of the cave. Mr. Rockface notices his pot of food is empty; earlier, Wild Willie the Missing Link had eaten it. Mr. Rockface tells the three suitors they will have to procure their own dinner. Steve locates a desert quail and shoots an arrow at it, but the arrow misses the quail and happily (for Steve) hits The Duke's behind. Meanwhile, Wild Willie is still hungry and goes hunting for snakes. He finds a dinosaur's tail instead...

Little Herman, a queer-looking magician, juggles cannon balls, ducks lamps and a variety of other articles in a surprising and terrifying fashion. He even shoots himself out of the mouth of a cannon, and then shoots himself in again. This stunt reminds us of the man who jumped into the bramble bush, but Little Herman is more wonderful even than he.

A dramatic one-act film that takes place in Mexico. Juanita, who lives on a dilapidated ranch, has to marry a wealthy landowner, but changes her mind at the last moment when a young American comes along; he offers her money to travel through her country. She falls in love with him. When the Mexican finds out about this, he tries to kill both of them, but a friend comes to the rescue.

Macbeth is a French 1915 film adaptation of the William Shakespeare play Macbeth. It was released on December 31, 1915, in France. It is a silent black-and-white film with French intertitles.

LeGrande, an old trapper, refuses to vacate his favorite hunting grounds when ordered to do so by Sampson and other settlers, and his life is only saved through the intervention of his daughter, Joan. The rascals soon learn to fear the girl's keen wit and daring, and Sampson, already pledged to marry Sanchezza, a Mexican girl, falls in love with Joan.

Helen, informed of the danger which menaces an excursion train because another engine on the same track is running wild, mounts a motorcycle and speeds down the track to warn the passengers of their imminent peril. Nearing a river trestle under repair, she hurtles into the river; undaunted, she swims to the opposite bank and flags down the excursion train in the nick of time, causing the engineer to run his train onto a siding just a few moments before the runaway dashes by.

When Carl Evendorr (John Dunn) comes into money, his wife Irene (Kathryn Osterman) becomes greedy and socially ambitious. She foolishly allows a social leech, Mrs. Wharton (Clara Whipple), into her life and the woman does everything she can to manipulate money out of her. Mrs. Wharton and her associates put Irene in a compromising position and her husband walks in and believes the worst.

Together with her suitors, Adelaide devises a plan – a marriage with an eight-day trial period with a handsome dowry! But neither millionaire will let the other one marry her. They both turn to the third man, Robert, whom they consider harmless. After the trial period, it turns out that no money will sway Robert’s love. (Stumfilm.dk)

Helen MacDermott, daughter of the Factor at Bear Lake, has been carefully and religiously brought up by her widowed father. Bob Brandt, a dashing young gambler and adventurer, stops at Bear Lake in his wanderings, and having occasion to visit the post to buy supplies, he becomes acquainted with Helen. She quickly surrenders to his charms.

An American girl marries the prince of a small European country. On their wedding day, the couple is involved in a car accident, the result of which is that the new bride suffers amnesia and can't remember who she is or anything about herself. While her new husband is off tending to his ailing father, the king, the woman's doctor hires a man to pose as her husband, hoping to jar her memory. She falls in love with her new "husband"; complications ensue.

Bull, Reno and Red make a getaway after holding up the Limited. Helen later sees the men and summons the detectives. The convicts escape from the trap and board a passing freight. Helen also succeeds in getting aboard. The train crew discovers the fugitives. Reno, in charge of the valise containing the loot, throws it into the boxcar ahead.

Deering and his gang rifle the station safe and gain possession of some valuable gems; Helen seizes the package and throws it into the river. In order to recover the package, a human chain is formed by the railroad men, which Helen climbs down and attempts to catch the package with her feet. Meanwhile, Deering and his men have boarded a launch, and succeed in grabbing both Helen and the package. Morton takes over a freight train, captures the crooks, and rescues Helen and the gems.

Chester Rowe commits a robbery and murder, then flees to the mountains where he meets and falls in love with Lottie Toby. Lottie's father receives news of $1,000 awaiting him at the post office. Rowe, aware of this, attempts to rob Mr. Toby. Disabled local youth Oliver comes upon the theft in process, he and Toby simultaneously shoot Rowe, resulting in his death. Oliver, believing he killed Rowe, hides the body. Toby's helper, Jack, finds Toby injured by a bullet wound. The sheriff wrongly accuses Jack of assaulting Toby. Oliver confesses to killing Rowe, and Jack is proven innocent.

Engineer Gordon has made a new invention for the military and a master thief get the mission to steal the blueprints.

Two prosperous young brokers, Bill and Bert, compete for the affections of Florence. Bert's stenographer, Violet, who supports her mother, also plays a role in the story. The plot involves themes of competition, love, and possibly social dynamics between the characters.

Public anxiety about war from the air is all too real for the people of Ramsgate in this newsreel footage of the aftermath of a Zeppelin raid.

Jack and Dolly, his sister, live together in the west. On Jack's birthday, Dolly presents him with a peculiar ring. The brother and sister attend a masquerade ball that evening, each dressed in the other's clothes. Dolly, being taken for a man, meets Big Bill, a new ranchman, and he offers her a cigar, which she tries to smoke. Jack sees her in distress, and coming to her rescue, is introduced as the sister. The next morning Jack leaves to look over his stock. While riding through the sage brush, he takes a shot at a rabbit and the bullet lands near the spot where a cattle rustler is plying his unlawful trade. The cattle rustler and Jack meet. The former believes that Jack tried to kill him and a fight follows. Jack is killed.

This film concerns the adventures of Gussle, played by Sydney Chaplin, in Big Bear Lake area of California. The picture opens with our hero riding a mule through a creek bed, when he is set upon by some robbers. Gussle outsmarts them by attempting to hand over his goods by stretching across the stream, but dropping the goods into the water thereby making the robber also fall in. He makes his way to an inn and recounts his experiences to the other guests and then they all go out and spend time playing in the snow. Some trick photography is used to make it appear that Gussle is making a mule walk backwards.

The influence of Musa, a wildly beautiful dumb girl, upon every citizen of Gallows Gulch, a rough western mining town, is almost uncanny. They fear, yet hate her, and claim she has "the evil eye."

Broncho Billy has exhausted every foot of ground which might have held gold for them and he makes ready to strike new territory. Their little boy gets his hands on some nitro-glycerin. He has dreams of discovering some gold where his father could find none. He "plants" the explosive but it doesn't go off. Then his sister resets it and it explodes in her face. She is knocked unconscious. The girl proves not to have been seriously injured. Out on the ground, by the newly blasted hole, lies the little son, sobbing because he has hurt his sister.

This strange, silent film "The Portage Trail" dates to 1915. The film tells the story of a romance between a minister's son and a banker's daughter, but the narrative also pays attention to the city of Akron, Ohio. It's highly possible that the film was made in an attempt to clean up that city's reputation, since in the 1910s there was a deadly outbreak of typhoid fever caused by a bad water supply. To whit, the film has a segment, inserted into the middle of the romance, explaining how the city now has a new "five million dollar water treatment plant".
