Mr. Turgeon is a lonely bachelor. When his fantasies about a female companion fail to materialize, he tries to fill the void with an overabundance of consumer goods. There is nothing in his life but the raucous music of his neighbours. A digital urban tale with the naïve style of paper cut-outs, Lonesome Monsieur Turgeon is an amusing but sympathetic portrait of a man who feels all alone in the world. If only he could connect with the people around him.

There was, perhaps, no more imaginative a tribute to Bach in 2000, the year which marked the 250th anniversary of the composer's death, than The Bach Cantata Pilgrimage undertaken by the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists under their conductor, Sir John Eliot Gardiner.

LOOKING BACK TO SEE is a journey through a dreary, artificial landscape accompanied by ghostly sounds that speak of escape at the same time that they remind us of worlds that have been paved over "to make life better." LOOKING BACK TO SEE is the first in a series of videos known as BICYCLE DIARIES.

This film restores an era in the history of Syria, which is the post-independence stage, in order to tell a social story that aims to research human relations and the changes that occurred in rural society. And the plot of this film is not just events that were revealed by the author's memory, but rather impressions of certain events that remained in his imagination. Therefore, the dramatic events were woven as legends of the place, and this is what made the place a unique privacy and the events are closely related to it. It is a social story that talks about the destinies of a group of people that gives a complete and comprehensive picture and a wide panorama of the Syrian countryside at the end of the forties, trying to rely on the popular heritage by weaving relationships between the characters and their way of understanding the events.

The alarm rings. It’s time. What time ? Time to fuck! And if the woman is emacipating herself by sleeping with another woman it’s the moment for the husband to discover them together. From here the film is metric, which is to say that all the shots are constituted from 9 images or their multiples. The film is named ‘Hybrid’ because different shots from different films tell the same story, that of the man who fucks the woman who fucks the man. All in all of the man who fucks the man.

If it is films which reveal ‘the choreographic fatality of cinematographic intervention’(Dominique Paini) this one henceforth very much belongs-dance gestures, in slow motion, distorted, halted, impregnate the film procession in a commentary-magnificent-by its own unfolding (back and forth). In the tradition of the great Adebar (Peter Kubelka, 1957), Danseurs à la Gay Pride 2001 probe the origins of cinematographic movement from a photogrammatical treatment, based on the ecstatic effect that the repetition of a movement procures- hands, faces, hips- shown in slow motion.

This film is Taiwan’s first protest music documentary, examining Jiao Gong Band 交工樂隊. Jiao Gong Band initially received attention from their efforts opposing the Meinong Dam project. After a brief pause in the Dam issue, Jiao Gong began following farm and farming issues, with their musical style quickly gaining increased popularity. This film discusses the uneasy situation faced by Taiwan’s farm youth. The youth that sets out to the city seeking to develop themselves carry feelings of homesickness from leaving their farm and land; on returning to their hometown after the bubble economy, they continue to push the elder generation to leave the village. Aside from this, because of their difficult social status, farm youth can often only search for Southeast Asian “foreign brides” when seeking marriage. Within the film, new residents (新住民) discuss their feelings and mindset in moving to Taiwan and collaborate with Jiao Gong throughout the album’s recording process.

This project is envisioned as an experimental film that will seek to challenge the modern-day purveyors of culture: Hollywood and Madison Ave. The philosophical urging of this piece will be that man's over-reaching tendencies are based on human ego, and are out of balance with the natural world. The workings of a man's ego can bring about greatness in art and architecture, science and medicine, but can also bring about catastrophe. Willed obliviousness to impending disaster is a human flaw readily exploited by corporate culture and media. This film will challenge the 1990's credo: "Don't think about it, just do it!"

“We felt humiliated when they hit us, we asked ourselves what kind of life this is. Being in the union we realised that we should be allowed to live decently.” There have been calls for the abolition of child labour for years, but this film follows working children in the slums of Delhi and Bangalore who are demanding the right to work. They are forming unions and challenging authorities as they try to take control of their own lives. “They never ask us as working children what our problems are because they don’t want to know the truth.”
