Employees of the GPU (State Political Directorate) track down Wynter and the group of "smugglers and saboteurs" he led. In order to catch the state criminal, Prokopchuk asks to join the coast guard. He tracks down Wynter as he returns from abroad on a schooner. In a desperate fight, Prokopchuk dies along with his enemy.

Guillermo Garland filmed this comedy using his family as actors, as a bit of fun. Narrating the struggles of a young man from Lima to establish a family and gain wealth, Garland manages to articulate, on several levels, the city/countryside dichotomy, a dominant theme in Peruvian and Latin American cinema during those final years of the silent era. The film remained in the family home until, almost miraculously, while searching for possible fragments of the film, Mr. Héctor Garland—the director's grandson—found the second reel and two other negatives of a still-unidentified documentary. The film was preserved in 2003-2004.

Very few events and occasions of the Finnish labor movement were photographed in the 1920s and 30s. Here is a rarity from the summer of 1927. The main speaker at the union celebration is the veteran, rouser and educator of the Finnish labor movement, Doctor of Philosophy N. R. af Ursin (1854-1936). There is a unique sequence of images: the military section of the army, led by a band, meets the union celebration procession.
Ruth Hanson was of Danish descent, trained in dance and gymnastics in Denmark but then returned home. In 1927, Ruth hired Loft Guðmundsson, a photographer and filmmaker, to film a short instructional film on Flat-Charleston dancing. Ruth Hanson was 21 at the time, and her dance partner in the film was her 14-year-old sister, Rigmor.
