Cinematic Era: 1927 Vintage

[Looney Lens: Anamorphic People] (1927) is unreleased footage by Fox Newsreel cameraman Al Brick shot through distorting mirrors.

Recordings from Knud Rasmussen's 5th Thule Expedition, which took place 1921-1924. With dog sled north of America from the Atlantic to the Pacific - the longest sled journey ever made. In addition to a scientific team consisting of six Danes, he had two Greenlanders on the trip: Arnarulunnguaq (the little woman) and Miteq (the eider). Photographer Leo Hansen was hired in Alaska, November 1923, and filmed the rest of the trip.

A young village girl with traditional upbringing comes to the big city where she meets an elegant man. She forgets about her boyfriend, and everything goes fine until she discovers that he's a vicious bank robber, finding herself being arrested as an accomplice. Her boyfriend decides to save her.

General footage from botanist Isobel Hutchison's field trip to Angmagsalik, Greenland. The majority of the film shows varied activities of the people living there, playing and travelling with dogs by sled, kayak, going to church and possibly a visit to a sacred site.

Made during the inspection of the Brazilian border with Venezuela and British Guiana, this film depicts the Amazon River and the boat traffic from several neighbouring countries, the cities of Santarém and Manaus, and the expedition up the Rio Branco to Boa Vista, where farming is practiced. At the boundary with Venezuela, Cândido Rondon receives a visit from the chiefs of the local tribes. The film ends with an expedition up Mount Roraimã.

A Yeti in the snow. Felix with knapsack journeying through the snow. He arrives amongst sunny fields of sunflowers. Uncle Tom is playing the banjo and his child is dancing. Felix joins in. The music wakes an angry man (dressed like a ring master). He uses his whip to break the banjo and threaten uncle Tom. Mammy is cooking pancakes. Felix turns her frying pan into a banjo using his whiskers as strings. The family dance again. The angry man chases them and Felix turns the banjo into a unicycle to escape.

Richthofen (aka Richthofen, The Red Knight of the Air and Richthofen, The Red Ace of Germany) is a 1927 German silent war film directed by Desider Kertesz and Peter Joseph. The film was subsequently re-mastered with sound and music effects and re-released in the United States in 1929. The film stars Georg Burghardt, Sybil Moore and Arne Molander. Richthofen was the first film to portray the life of the First World War fighter pilot Manfred von Richthofen.

An office worker decides to buy new galoshes to replace his worn-out shoes. Believing that one cannot find good footwear at government-owned stores, he puchases galoshes from a private seller.

Al's father, Professor Rockenrye has discovered a gasoline substitute. He can drop it on a toy train or wind up toy, and the train will start running and the toy will start moving. Al's girl Rose is at his house and opens the door when Al's rival arrives. The big lug is there to whisk her away and marry her. Stupid Al gives the rival a drink of the formula, causing the rival to spit fire. Al then spills all of the remaining formula, ruining the Professor's hope of fame and fortune.

The beautiful Sofia, a Polish woman, works as an information agent, believing it is for the best, and seduces an adventurous Spanish pilot who manages to escape her seductions.

They enter Fatty's pet goat Hector in the annual goat derby, but his rival Bruiser Murphy lets the goat loose before the race. After a series of adventures, Fatty finds the runaway goat and persuades a friendly aviator to fly him to the race-track in time for the main event.

An animated propaganda film depicting the curiosities of Ukrainization in the 1920s in a satirical form. It was prepared in the animation workshop of VUFKU in the spring of 1927 under the leadership of Levandovsky as his third work using paper dolls after "The Tale of the Straw Bull" and "The Tale of the Squirrel-Housewife and the Mouse-Villain" and was not planned for wide release. The film is lost.

A salmon taster enlists and is put to work passing out salmon to the troops. When he is assigned to take the salmon in the lines he gets absent minded and throws hand grenades over to the hungry buddies. With the aid of a battalion of chorus-girls dressed like Anzacs and who appear for no reason at all, the recruit captures a company of Germans and is decorated by the Colonel.
