Bill's father is murdered by Hawley, one of Dykeman's henchmen, who steals a map proving Farley's claim to rich gold claims. Bill, who is engaged to Helen, Dykeman's daughter, routs the gang when they try to dispossess settlers and subsequently eludes a large posse. Later, when Hawley steals a gold shipment, Bill captures him and returns the gold to the Blue Ridge settlers; he is then accused of the robbery, but again he escapes. Disguised as a Spaniard, Bill meets Hawley and discovers him to be his father's murderer; a fight ensues, and Hawley recovers the map and kidnaps Helen in a stagecoach. Bill gives chase, overpowers the villain, and rescues Helen from the burning stagecoach.

Erkki Karu's comedy The Poet Moves (1927) was completed as a companion piece to the film The Changeling (1927). The homeless poet Eero Keso (Ossi Korhonen) takes up residence with the gentleman Tuisku (Uuno Laakso, Glory Leppänen). In order to get money from his rich uncle Joroinen (Heikki Välisalmi), the poet has written that he has married and had a son, but in reality the money his uncle sent has been spent on the party. The uncle is coming to Helsinki and expects to meet the poet's heir and wife, whom Mrs. Tuisku's scheming sister Liisa (Birgit Sergelius) promises to introduce.

Partly staged long documentary about the Zaan region of North Holland. As far back as the 17th century, the local council developed the area with an eye towards labour and people, and the mills were the machines that enabled productivity and prosperity. Since that time, the Zaan has developed into an important industrial centre. In this nearly two-hour film, we see most of the region’s cities and towns, as well as its key industries.

James Clemens gets the top-billing in this Vitaphone short where he plays a drunk who can hardly stand. That's pretty much the entire plot as Clemens stumbles into the Dream Cafe where he runs into a cop as well as a lovely young lady who performs a couple dances for him.

One of Oskar Fischinger's earliest films, Seelische Konstruktionen (as it is known in German), clearly points the way to the masterpieces of musically-blended experimental animation he would conceive in the decades to come. The sense of masterful timing and rhythm, the easy and natural -- though patently Fischinger-esque -- character traits of the subjects, and the smooth precision of both line and movement are all present already. Unique is the black-silhouetted, semi-cartoon characters (not nearly as rigidly self-contained as Lotte Reiniger's cut-out forms) which seem to adhere to no physical limitations whatsoever. Morphing into shapes, structures, objects, patterns, and even one another, as though they were made of pure mercury and set to music. As for the "story", it's rather non-sensical, and certainly silly, but also has a slightly dark and devious tinge to it as well; men becoming monsters, uncontrollable shape-shifting and the constant, almost desperate movement.

If one were to piece together a synopsis, it seems as if Storm P is given the task – by secret order – to draw the penguins in the Zoo. Using real penguins as models, he draws his well-known cartoon character Ping from the ‘Peter and Ping’, and the drawing is subsequently delivered to the person who commissioned it via a messenger dog. Two families who are always fighting in the neighborhood, make up and go camping together causing havoc wherever they pass.

Jack Duffy is terrified of horses, so when Gayle Lloyd wants to lift the mortgage by running her horse in the harness race that Saturday, he's chosen to drive the rig. The rest of the movie is about the farcical mishaps on the way to his inevitable victory..

It starts between two children: Júlia and Augusto. He comes back later, after graduating, and they revive the flame of yore. Júlia's father refuses Augusto's request and contracts her marriage with a farmer, his friend. The girl is poisoned. Her father injures Augusto. Julia does not die, because she has only taken a narcotic.

The adventures of two friends, Kvick and Blixten.

Enn is a young student of construction who comes from a small island with high ambitions. Hilma is a city girl from a well-off family. They dream about a happy life together. Construction specialist Pilliroog becomes covetous and puts pressure on Hilma's bourgeoisie parents in order to catch Hilma's attention and win her friendship. In order to get what he wants, Pilliroog stops at nothing and fears no intrigues nor violence. Depicting the life of the nouveau riche in Tallinn during 1920s adds the socio-critical touch to the silent film. Only 1 min and 9 seconds of this film are preserved.

In this one, we are introduced to a pretentious and uppity family who we just KNOW will be brought down to size later in the short. Then we cut to Lloyd Hamilton, stumbling along, and finding a job advertisement for an electrician's helper. He applies for the job (literally dangling over the business!), and from there on out there is solid physical comedy of all kinds.

A Recife society couple, while visiting a painting exhibition, recognizes, in a painting depicting a gypsy girl, their daughter, who had been kidnapped by gypsies as a child. The painter informs them that the girl is part of the Bentes Lemano gang. The parents go to the police, who arrest the gang, including Artur. Their identities are clarified. Despite her parents' opposition, the heroine ends up marrying Maurício.

Felix the Cat gets worried when his friend joins the army, so he joins up too.

Siberia. 1919 The retreating intervention detachments and the English expedition leave the mines. A snowstorm begins. English engineer Henry and his fiancee Ollan, the daughter of the company director, are lagging behind. After much wandering, the heroes come across the winter quarters of the Russian partisan Vladimir. While waiting out the bad weather, the heroes will be forced to live together for some time. Ollan will be convinced of the worthlessness of his chosen one and the courageous, energetic Vladimir will become her husband. And ahead is spring and painful thoughts: to stay with your loved one in this country or return to your homeland?

Lache is unemployed. He falls asleep on the border of Lake Floreasca while peeping at a group of girls who are bathing in the lake. This image makes him dream about himself being inside a harem where the guards catch him and throw him in jail. Here he is found by Lili Dinamita, an artist who was brought to the harem after having been kidnapped by the white slavers. The two try to escape and they almost succeed in doing it, when Lache wakes up among the girls he was admiring when he fell asleep.

KoKo and Fitz look into a crystal ball and are told to go East toward the crooked tree. Eager for any sort of adventure, they happily accept their quest without a question asked.

An old man known as a mining king was found killed by a “golden bullet”. The first to be suspected was the phantom thief at large known as the Benevolent Picaroon, widely talked about around town. But Inomata, the private eye investigating the case, didn’t think the killing-averse outlaw was behind the murder. A few days later, a note from the Picaroon was found at the crime scene of another wealthy household. Rushing over, Inomata finds something dubious about the behavior of the tycoon’s daughter. He calls in his buddy detective Kawanami and launches a serious probe to find out the truth. Whatever happened to the “golden bullet” — the key to the case? And who in fact is the Benevolent Picaroon?

At the center of the story is the family drama of farmer Jalil from the village of Rawat, his wanderings and attempts to save his beloved girl Karaman. Her father is in debt to the local bai Abdu-Nabi and gives his daughter to him as his wife. In the vicinity of the village, the remains of Akram Khan's Basmachi gang are rampaging. Abdu-Nabi maintains a close connection with Rawat’s “jackals”. Jalil goes to the mountains to the Basmachi...
