Cinematic Era: 1914 Vintage

Andrew McLeod, the Factor, is called "The Panther" by the Indians, owing to his cruelty. He wishes to marry Julie, the daughter of Francois Ledru, a French trapper. Julie is afraid of McLeod and rather than become his wife she runs away. Ledru is terrified when he discovers her absence as he knows McLeod will make him suffer for it, in which fear he is fully justified, as he is beaten and then shot by McLeod. Meantime, Julie, in her wanderings, runs into Father Lezare, who is journeying toward the trading station, and also David Brandt, a hunter. She appeals to them for help and upon David's assertion that he will do anything to help her, she begs him to marry her. After some hesitation on the part of both David and the priest, this is done.

A Texas settler and his daughter, Sally, start on a journey in a prairie schooner after bidding farewell to Sally's mother and to Tom, the ranger, who is operating in the neighborhood on a lookout for cattle rustlers and illicit whiskey sellers. The great wagon is hauled out of the corral by a pair of spirited horses, while ranger Tom departs to take up the trail of a "bootlegger" who is reported to have been operating among the Indians thereabouts.

Kaatje, the daughter of the miller Schoonejans, and Jef, a little shepherd, who live near Delft, are happy together. In a floral parade, the carriage the two children have decorated with tulips wins the first prize. The next day, during a thunderstorm, lightning destroys the mill and kills Schoonejans. A life of misery starts for his widow and daughter. Remembering how the theatre manager Boolmans had applauded the dancing of Kaatje and Jef at the floral parade, the widow takes her daughter to Amsterdam, where Boolmans engages Kaatje. The years pass, and Kate has become a famous dancer.

Fulfilling a promise made to his mother on her deathbed, Dr. James Gibson finds his sister Pauline who has run away after giving birth to an illegitimate child. His sister's mind has snapped and Gibson takes his sister and his baby niece home with him. The years pass and the niece has grown into a beautiful woman, while her mother is kept locked in a room that the young woman is forbidden to enter. Gibson and his wealthy neighbor, John Morris, are both interested in hypnotism, and one night the two men conduct an experiment by hypnotizing Gibson's niece. This film is presumed lost.

Soldiers of Misfortune

When his wife goes away on vacation, a husband decides to use that time to do a little "playing around" and winds up at a resort hotel with two young girls. Unbeknownst to him, his wife is at the same hotel, planning a little "playing around" of her own.

His weak-willed mother and the son Fred, whom she has spoiled, are the mill-stones around Dan's neck. Ida, who loves him, determines to save him from their influence. The girl is assistant district attorney. Fred is arrested as a cocaine vendor.

The young lawyer took the cracksman's part when he was falsely accused. Later, the chemist, in revenge for his fancied wrong, refused the lawyer's wife the serum which would save her husband's life. It was then the cracksman showed his gratitude.

The death of her father brought Sylvia Fairfax face to face with conditions which she was unequipped to handle, and, after an unsuccessful attempt to fill the position of governess in the Windermere home, caused her to go to New York. (Note: Only 2 of 3 reels exist)

The film tells the story of prince Pietro di Veio who, after becoming a film actor, falls in love with his screen partner Alice, who is unfaithful to him.

A member of a counterfeiting gang gives a forged note to his daughter. When she spends it on a dress the note ends up in the hands of the secret service, who then bring the entire gang to justice.

Gladys Norton, a sweet little country girl, receives a letter from her sweetheart, saying that after four years of study in the city, he is coming back. Gladys is overjoyed. Theresa, Gladys' cousin, desiring to spend a few quiet weeks in the country, pays the Nortons a surprise visit and arrives on the same train with Irwin.

Broncho Billy loses his job and is forced to go west in search of employment. He lands in a small western town, where he takes up gold mining. Stockdale, a westerner, also meeting with bad luck, consults Broncho Billy, and the two determine to hold up the stagecoach that day.

Fatty's Wine Party is a 1914 American short comedy film directed by and starring Fatty Arbuckle.

Once there was a good-natured old Scout who opened a drug store on the corner with the intention of making money enough to buy bird seed once in a while. The first Gink who blew in wanted to know the correct time, and not a cent's worth did he buy. The next was one of those hurry-up guys who wanted a city directory and wanted to know if Murphy was spelled with an "F." Shortly after Estelle came in and wanted to wait for Laura. She was dying for a drink of plain water, she couldn't drink soda water because the gas got up her nose. Finally, when Laura came she bought a postage stamp, and not having any pennies, said she'd be in later to pay for it.

The division superintendent of the Montana Idaho R.R. finds it necessary to buy the property of an old settler in order to clear the right of way. The old man, with his daughter, has occupied the same cabin for years, and refuses to sell his holdings. The superintendent wires the general manager, who sends Broncho Billy, his assistant, with orders to get possession of the land at any cost. Broncho offers the old man an enormous amount, but is flatly refused. The daughter then leads Broncho into the yard, where he is shown the grave in which her mother has been laid to rest several years before. This is their reason for refusing to sell.

Harding Martin and David Patrick are both desperately in love with Elsie Johnson. Each tries to gain some advantage over his rival. Pretty Elsie coquettishly enjoys their rivalry and fosters it.

They loved each other when they were young. They were about to elope when Frank met with an accident which caused the loss of his memory. She pined for a while and then married. He forgot about her. Years later, Margaret lost her husband and Frank lost his wife. Business brought the two of them together and they married.

A spirited young college graduate is sent away to the Kentucky mountains to live with her uncle after returning home and scorning the effete minister her parents had chosen for her husband. One day, finding herself lost in the wilderness, she is rescued by two brothers who fall in love with her—but as they compete for her affections with increasing ferocity, her feelings become conflicted. Partially lost: the second of two reels survives.

Returning home from a matinee, Ralph Brent, a poor actor, finds his step-child dead. The child's mother returns intoxicated, having purchased drink instead of medicine for the child, with the money he had given her. He accuses her of causing the little one's death, and snatching the bottle of liquor from which she is about to drink, throws it away. Infuriated, she springs at her husband with a bread knife, stumbles and accidentally kills herself. Fearing that he will be suspected of murder. Brent hastily makes up in the disguise of an old man and leaves the house.

A girl is given an electrical charge, which causes metal objects to be attracted to her.

In Chapter 8, "A Partner To Providence", His lordship rides a train that is mistakenly rerouted into a headlong collision into another engine, with the well-worn Lubin train crash footage ensuing. He's pulled out of the wreck and recuperates with a rural family. He recuperates enough to win a fight with a crook at the end.

Ben Wilson takes a vacation to his father's farm and is reunited with his childhood sweetheart, Rose Meadows. The prospects for an early marriage are bright until a family feud separates the lovers and Ben returns to the city to seek solace in wild behavior. One night he visits a roadhouse where Rose has been lured by Carrol Walker, a playboy of the worst kind.

In consequence of a first kiss, poor Max finds himself claimed as a property of a persistent damsel. Even his approaching marriage does not deter the lady, who leads him a merry dance.

He awkwardly makes her acquaintance, and it proves to be a case of love at first sight on his part. She is older than he and although secretly amused, is gracious to Buddy and he acquires such a swelled head that he passes haughtily by his old friends, Grace and Elsa Forster.

Discouraged by the loss of his job and unable to find another young shipping clerk Clark heads west, promising his mother that he will send for her when he finds a decent job. Instead, he falls into bad company. Finding it hard to make money he first works in prospecting without success until finally securing a job in a mine.

When the parents of Laurie Killikrankie realized their daughter was of marriageable age, each sets about to find her a mate. Dame Killikrankie selected Laird MacNutt. The father favored Laird MacNabb. Laurie decided that Tammy, a poor stalwart lad, was the ideal of her dreams.

The storyline is about a man without a head that haunts the castle Arco in the 16th century. A man in the present day (1914) goes to the castle to find out if the story is true after which he finds something strange beneath the old castle floor.

George Cathcart, a young naval officer, arrives home on leave of absence after months of mine planting service. Major Maynard, a foreign spy, occupies the adjoining estate. With the assistance of Jessica, an adventuress, Maynard plans to obtain the maps in Cathcart's possession.

Tom and Dick live at the same boarding house and are rivals for the hand of their landlady. One evening the crowd decided to play all of the old-fashioned games, and the antics that they go through will keep one in a constant fit of laughter. Tom is determined to make Dick look foolish, and vice versa, so they are continually in a scramble.

A housewife's domestic bliss is destroyed when her husband has an affair.
