Bess is busy reading a book when her folks come in and command her to spend more time at work. They give her a ball of yarn, a crochet needle and set her to work. She is left alone and while moving around in her chair she loses track of the ball of yarn. It happens to have been caught in her belt at her back and out of her own view. Being a girl of quick temper and strong in athletics, the home is in so much of a turmoil when her parents return that Bess has not been subjected to work since. (Moving Picture World)

The film carries the slogan: ‘He Stole From the Rich to Give to the Poor’. It is a story of the ‘nobleman-bandit’, Brennan O'Malley, who is captured and imprisoned, but an attempt to drown him through flooding his cell fails. Recaptured after his escape from prison, he overwhelms a soldier and escapes again. He then holds up Lord Hastings and changes into his clothes. He escapes through a secret passage with Betty, Lady Lorrequer whom he had earlier rescued and with whom he had fallen in love. The couple cross a chasm with the aid of a human chain to elude Lord Hastings' troop of soldiers. In the pursuit, Hastings falls into the sea and is killed, while Brennan and Betty escape by ship.

A short romantic comedy about a woman and a man who both have shoes that are too small, and who meet as they are taking off their shoes; a pair of wedding slippers is the result.

A trip up New Zealand's most picturesque river, known as "The Rhine" of that country. Taken from a motor boat steaming up a narrow, torrent-like stream, among the hills of New Zealand, at its end, there is a view of tumbling waters that is fine.

This is another of the clever cartoon stories which have scored such a signal success. It deals with the adventures of Willyum. a darky aviator, whose flight in an airship of his own make so closely resembles the journey of the inexperienced into Wall Street as to give the film its name. Wlllyum's balloon burst while he was in mid-air and down he came, but landed safely on a pole in the river, where he promptly started fishing, just as many persons fall from their dreamy soarings to the hard reality. While Willyum is fishing he falls asleep, just as many others do, and it is while he slumbers peacefully that things happen to him, and the funniest things imaginable, too.

Frayed Fagin is attacked by a particularly aggressive bulldog. Before the animal's desire for battle is satisfied, the hobo's clothes are in tatters. A hospital attendant throws some old clothes in the field with the intention of burning them. He has forgotten matches and returns to get some. While the man is gone, Fagin finds the clothes and walks off with them. Later, arrayed in the suit he has found, the hobo peers over a fence and sees a farmer sleeping near some beehives. The hobo accidentally knocks the hives over. The bees emerge and make things hum for the farmer and the hobo.

By deeds of valor both Mike and Jake seek to win the same girl.

Billy and his sweetheart have had a little quarrel, and just to make him jealous, she accepts the attentions of another suitor. When she thinks she has punished Billy enough, she decides to break her engagement with Billy's rival, and to again accept Billy's attentions. But before doing so she requests Billy's rival to return to her the letters that she had written to him during their short courtship, which he absolutely refuses to do. He informs her that he is going to Europe, and that when he returns he will amuse the boys at the club with the letters. In desperation she informs Billy of his rival's intention, and informs him that she cannot accept his offer of marriage while his rival retains those letters. On Billy learning that his rival, whom he has never met, is about to sail for Europe, he decides to burglarize the house and get his sweetheart's letters. But, unfortunately for Billy, his rival misses the boat and returns in time to catch Billy robbing the house.

A hen-pecked husband with a suffragette wife dreams he is Prime Minister.

Fans of the fashionable dance, the rhythmic tango, are delighted, for they will be able to admire today very interesting poses to the rhythm of the music of El choclo and El otario, which will be performed by the maestro Pellicciani, accompanying the film with the same music that was played when it was taken.

A drama and romance occurring during a war between Sweden and a "strange great power".

Jack Hilton, naval lieutenant, has fallen in love with Adriana Duncan, a wild beast tamer, but his relatives refuse to sanction the marriage owing to the poverty and to the humiliating occupation of his fiancée.

Jim Neal, the proprietor of the "Halfway Saloon," located between Tucson and Gold Creek. A local minister discovers Jim selling alcohol to the Indians and asks him to stop. Jim refuses, telling the minister to mind his own business. The minister then appeals to Jim's wife, Mrs. Neal, pointing out that the saloon is an unfit environment for their young daughter. Realizing the truth in the minister's words, Mrs. Neal decides to take their daughter and leave the area to visit her sister in a distant settlement. Tragically, while enroute, Mrs. Neal and her daughter are attacked by a group of the same Indians who had been incited by the "firewater" sold to them by Jim Neal, demonstrating the consequences of his actions.

This silent travelogue of unknown date was photographed by Riccardo Cartoni and produced by Unione Cinematografica Italiana (UCI). As noted by Renato Venturelli and Giancarlo Giraud in the 44th Pordenone Silent Film Festival catalogue, the film documents locations along the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, beginning in Genoa and continuing through Quarto dei Mille, Nervi, Sant’Ilario, Bogliasco, Recco, Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, San Fruttuoso, Rapallo, and Levanto. Notable landmarks include the Eden Hotel, Gropallo Tower, and Portofino Kulm Hotel. Later segments present locations in a less structured sequence. A 1913 listing in Kinematograph Weekly for a film titled The Italian Riviera may refer to the same film. Being preserved in a tinted and toned 35mm nitrate print (300 m, 12'07" at 18 fps) with Italian intertitles, restored in 2025 by Cineteca Milano at MicLab.

When the infant Betty Emerson’s father is killed in an accident it drives her mother mad leading to her commitment to an asylum. Betty is sent to an orphanage where after a year’s time wealthy widow, Mrs. Blake, chooses to adopt her. A decade later when a fully recovered Mrs. Emerson is discharged, she begins a search for Betty, leading her to Mrs. Blake’s door. While the two women argue over her Betty enters. Both women plead with her, one to return and the other to stay. Betty offers the solution by staying with both.

The plot is inspired by a popular romance of those years. Young Nina loves her fiancé Rakitin. The young couple are drawn to lasting happiness, but first Rakitin has to finish his business in the province, and Nina has to take care of her inheritance. Rakitin leaves. While Nina is preparing for her first independent concert, she is constantly surrounded by her attorney in the matters of inheritance, a certain Gorsky.

Mrs. Fricot catches her husband with another woman on his lap and demands that he commits suicide. He sneaks out of the house and asks two friends for their cooperation. When he returns home, Mr. Fricot shoots a gun in the air. His wife bursts into the room and the two friends come to collect Mr. Fricot with a coffin. Only then does Mrs. Fricot read the letter that her husband had received, stating that his niece would be visiting. Full of bewilderment, she realizes that the woman on his lap was Fricot's niece. She sits down by a painting of Mr. Fricot and asks him for forgiveness. At that moment Mr. Fricot steps out of the painting. Everything is forgiven with a toast.

Albert is a struggling artist, and is taking sketches in a district where a countess is his nearest neighbour. Both are artistically inclined, and they meet, and eventually fall in love with each other.

Lass and her six little puppies are lying near the kennel upon the suburban estate of Mr. Jameson, the wealthy New York broker. Mrs. Jameson, his wife, is walking about the estate accompanied by her six months' old baby and its nurse. She stops and speaks kindly to Lass and her little family. Picking up one of the little dogs, she playfully puts it in the carriage with the baby and petting the little animal, returns it to its mother. She continues upon her walk. This same little puppy strays away from its little brothers and sisters and reaching the railroad tracks, it wanders into the next village, where it is met by a crowd of youngsters that are gathered about the station. They playfully abuse the little animal.

The actor and his wife suddenly found themselves "at liberty" because the manager of their attraction had flitted unexpectedly. They wanted to get back to New York, but even though they sold all their wardrobe they could only arrange sufficient funds to pay for one ticket. The woman, however, had an inspiration: the railroad company carried baggage free. The thespians had no baggage, therefore she decided to ship her husband in a Saratoga trunk in the baggage car ahead. He consented to the plan. The plan was marvelously successful, and the husband was trundled aboard the train, without arousing any suspicion. His wife found new troubles, however, for the heartless conductor refused to let her take her little pet dog into the passenger car.

John Brown, the mate on a river steamboat, rescues a small boy from the clutches of a villainous deckhand, thereby gaining the roustabout's bitter enmity. Absorbed over the events of the day, the mate fails to bestow upon his wife the usual home-coming caress. Annoyed, she greets the coming of the stranger as a possible foil to arouse the husband's jealousy in punishment for the slight. The flirtation all but ends in a tragedy with discovery by the husband, who does not understand her innocent act.

A noted actor, appearing in the role Richelieu, stands at the stage entrance one evening and hears the confession of a conscience-stricken Italian, who mistakes him for a priest.
