On a serendipitous Saturday afternoon in 1968, Victor Ganz came upon the work of Eva Hesse in New York's Fischbach Gallery. He was immediately attracted by its freshness and spirit, and together Victor and Sally not only became major collectors, but also soon thereafter close friends of the artist. Vanished! A Video Seance is a true story. In 1932 elderly parents and their young daughter came to live in isolation on a windswept hill on the west coast of the Isle of Man. Gef, an entity or familiar or presence, attached itself to the family for six years. It proclaimed its identity in a number of ways, one being, "I am the ghost of a mongoose with tiny yellow hands". The notoriety and investigations of the event are now all but forgotten, the house where they lived erased. Only fragments and shadows can be summoned to bear witness to that which has vanished.

The camera is reflected in the rearview mirror of a car sliding down a dusty desert road on the Peruvian coast. I'M A PILOT LIKE YOU was shot July, 1999 inside and outside 20 North Moore Street where John and Carolyn Kennedy lived. Ruth Hardinger, a sculptor, is a 1st floor resident in this building and was unwittingly trapped by the media frenzy and the public attention that unfolded on the sidewalk in front of the building after the Kennedy plane crashed off Martha's Vineyard. Bill Brand, a nearby neighbor and experimental filmmaker, collaborated to make a video that gives a unique view from inside the building, looking back at the spectacle created by the public and the media. It shows what it felt like to be on the other side of the story.

The dramatic story of three great Russian avant-garde painters from the beginning of the last century – Kazimir Malevich, Pavel Filonov and Vladimir Tatlin – and their supporter, Nikolai Punin, the first post-revolution Commissar of the Hermitage and Russian Museums. They dedicated their lives to belief in the revolution and its connection to avant-garde art, but the communist regime betrayed them. The history depicted on the painted canvases reflects the tumultuous period of the 1920s and 30s in the Soviet Union, in Leningrad and in artistic circles of the time. Only with perestroika have the avant-garde paintings, stored in museum archives, again seen the light of day.

In Siwan, a small town in Bihar caught in the vice-like grip of a political strongman, student activist Chandrashekhar Prasad is assassinated in broad daylight for daring to speak out. Back in Delhi, the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus erupts on hearing this news about its former student union president. The students come on the streets to protest the inaction of the administration in spite of eyewitness accounts identifying the perpetrators, and they, too, are met with police water cannons and lathis. In that moment of protest, emerges an idea: to create a testament of Chandrashekhar's courageous and principled brand of politics as a tribute to him and as a mirror to the state of society and politics around. Several television professionals and Chandu's friends get together and, from the footage of television channels on Chandrashekhar, a documentary is created that pulsates with urgency and a purity of purpose that communicates itself to viewers to this day.
