It records the Shorinji Kempo Organization of Japan’s 40th-anniversary visit to China, but rather than serving as a simple travelogue, it uses the 299 participants’ journey—beginning in Nanjing—as a confrontation with the facts of Japan’s wartime aggression and the choices demanded in the present. Through Chinese filmmakers’ perspectives, testimony, archival images, and narration addressing the Nanjing Massacre, nuclear war, militarization, and historical responsibility, the film asks viewers to reject indifference, self-justification, and the concealment of inconvenient history. It argues that peace cannot remain an abstract ideal or be left to governments and power-seekers; each person must begin from the shared human right to survival, face history honestly, and choose concrete action toward mutual understanding and peace.

This atmospheric short film presents the many wonders of France’s Cathedral of Saint Peter of Beauvais, from its intricate stained glass to its soaring, vaulted interior. Although construction began in 1225, the cathedral remains unfinished today after braving numerous structural alterations and disasters. Ambitiously designed as the largest church in Europe, it enjoyed a brief stint as the world’s tallest building from 1569 through 1573. At 157 feet high, its choir is still unsurpassed.

Documentary account of the discovery and archaeological excavation in 1980 of First African Baptist Church Cemetery, a black American cemetery of a non-slave community in Philadelphia that closed in 1841, with very little documented in the archives and of which all physical trace had been lost for a century. In 1952, the Central Committee of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) decides to establish a "Museum of German History" (MfDG) in the Zeughaus Unter den Linden. As the central history museum of the GDR, it is committed to the Marxist-Leninist conception of history. The film Museum of German History. Insights and Encounters - a GDR television documentary from 1988 - shows the reconstruction of the war-damaged building, presents selected eras such as the Peasants' Wars and the Revolution of 1848 and observes the preparations for a special exhibition on "Artists in the Class Struggle". The film also provides insights into the restorers' workshops, the coin collection and the painting depot.

For the Lancia Martini team, the 1988 Safari Rally was the chance to win the classic African event for the first time since their involvement in World Championship rallying. The Italian team had prepared thoroughly for their tenth attempt to win this round, with a tortuous 4,200 kilometres lying waiting to catch the unwary. Leading into it was championship hot-man Miki Biasion, with the Lancia Martini Integrale sporting a six-speed gearbox for the first time. Nissan and Toyota were expected to provide the main opposition to the Lancias, with Biasion anxious to extend his lead over team-mates Cesare Fiorio and Markku Alen, with Stig Blomqvist lurking menacingly in the Ford.

The 1988 World Championship really hotted up as the action moved to Portugal for the Port Wine Rally. Cesare Fiorio's team were debuting the new Lancia Integrale featuring more power, longer travel suspension and wider tyres. But the opposition was getting more competitive - Mazda had Hannu Mikkola and Ingvar Carlsson, Ford Stig Blomqvist, Didier Auriol and Carlos Sainz, and Volkswagen had Erwin Weber. Lancia fielded Markku Alen, Miki Biasion and Mikael Ericsson. Revised safety measures ensured spectators would leave the drivers to concentrate on the terrain whilst there was every reason to engage in a full battle for championship points.
