Cinematic Era: 1979 Vintage

The starting point of Kaiserschnitt is a triangular construction. A horse stands in the centre of a large space, tied to a rope. Ulay and Abramovic are connected to the horse by means of the rope, which runs through two rings fastened to opposite walls.

The film opens as Elise is getting released from a mental institution after 12 years of being locked up. She witnessed her mother drown and afterwards was never the same. Her psychiatrist, Dr. Robert Lang believes she is well enough to leave the hospital. He along with his girlfriend Diana escort Elise back to her childhood home. Soon, Elise’s stepbrother Leland shows up. It’s clear that his intentions are not good as he taunts her about her mother’s death. Later, it becomes clear that he wants the entire estate for himself and wants Elise locked back up forever. Elise begins hearing voices and having flashbacks of the night her mother died. Soon, people around Elise get murdered. The killer is a bit of a surprise and the conclusion is awesome. This is the story of John Andrews, world-famous Australian architect. In the mid-1960s, when only 29, Andrews was commissioned to design Scarborough College at Toronto University. One of the world’s first ‘megastructures’, it was an important experiment in urban and educational planning. Andrews also designed the Canadian National Tower in Toronto, which was the tallest freestanding structure in the world at the time it was built.

A mental hospital becomes a sanctuary for their ex-patients when they feel rejected by a society who thinks that they have an illness that can never be cured. "Everybody wants me to come back here," says Yuyun. But she tries hard to prove that she is cured. She can live normally like other "healthy people", and is able to work well, and even to fall in love.

The film records her bid for political power, and explains the nomination contest, a basic step in the Canadian electoral process. Because she was competing against the Liberal Party's preferred candidate, the nomination battle in Rosedale turned into one of the most innovative and fascinating in the history of Canadian politics.

A film in three acts, each act prefaced by a short circus act. Act 1 – Cutting liver, Act II – Ironing, Act III – Plucking Eyebrows. Three potentially violent domestic activities performed by a woman. Jayne Parker discovered film as a medium when she was a sculpture student at Canterbury College of Art (1977-80). In early works, objects, performance and gesture were combined by the camera to explore space, duration and the physical body. The images in these early films were both literal and metaphoric, depicting exact events but also creating physical and personal associations for the viewer. Ideas are evoked in images rather than words; ordinary actions are also enigmas.

The film begins in 1922 in Georgia. A strange event occurs near seven comrades. One of them, who knows the secret of horse riding, miraculously remains alive. Captivated by a sense of duty, the comrades decide to go to Gori to find this man, and if possible, then stop his crime, which will cost the lives of many innocents. With the light hand of the leader, a civil war breaks out in Georgia, which will claim the lives of everyone they found, but will have time to reveal many more deaths.
