A table is set with two red books placed at diagonal corners and a stack of three poker chips placed in the center. Two women enter, sit, and begin to play with the books and poker chips. Different soundtracks converge; the dialogue begins to sound like an interrogation as one character asks, “What is the structural definition of logical positivism? Lawrence Weiner, what is the structural form as in the manner and use of your language? Does it not have a direct relation to logical positivism?”

Picasso: The Man and His Work, Part 1 - 1881-1937 is a comprehensive documentary featuring Pablo Picasso himself. Filmed largely at Picasso's home in the south of France, the video presents footage of the world-famous Spanish painter and sculptor at leisure and at work. During the last 22 years of Picasso's life, filmmaker Edward Quinn had unrestricted access to the artist. Here, Quinn creates a video scrapbook of exclusive home movies and photographs, as well as more than 600 of the artist's works never displayed in public. Simultaneously, he traces the development of Picasso's life and work, discussing certain pieces and periods, giving some insight into the artist's creative process.

Generous and honest to a fault, multi-millionaire Amit Rai is always ready to lend a helping hand to the needy, even his business associates. His employee and close friend, Nekiram, warns him against doing this, but in vain. Then hard times visit him and his family, and he loses all his wealth and money, even his palatial home and items therein are to be auctioned. All the people he had helped, his business associates, etc. even his fiancee, Sunita, abandons him. Penniless, homeless, and with a widowed mother, and an unwed sister, he re-locates near a seashore community, to begin life anew as a fisherman. It is there he finds out that his financial ruin did not take place by chance, but it was a deliberate and deceptive plot to rid him of his riches.

The slow rhythm of regular breathing determines an analogous rhythm in the image: the fugue of a candle flame toward a virtual infinity generated by a lens with variable focal length. Each appearance of this vector (successive fixed positions of the zoom) corresponds to an equivalent interval of darkness, an identical number of unexposed stills. An attempt at metric cinema. The position of the flame varies slightly with each successive apparition and the displacement seems to stop for just a few seconds in order to introduce alternating stills in reverse order.

A reconstructed view of the surroundings I had as a child. I place the camera in the space at different levels corresponding to different stages in my life as I grew up. Constant camera movements show objects from extreme close-up, a perspective alien to the eye opening up a microcosm which remains hidden to the normal observer.

The clacking of heels on the floor, to the rhythm of a measured walk, accompanies the movement of a camera that scrutinises a man in close up. Slowly, the camera turns around him, from his feet on the floor to the top of his head. The man doesn't move a muscle, with his arms lying straight by his side, as though he has become an object under a woman's eye, identifiable by the sound of her footsteps. The closeness of the camera fragments and fetishises the body. There are no wide shots at any point that might enable the man to be identified. The fragments glimpsed by the camera do not provide any identifying markers, rendering the overall view disproportionate. Like a "monument", the figure is presented to the audience.

The inevitable subjectivity and diaristic potential of landscape is foregrounded in this semi-structuralist work of weird poetic beauty. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2013.

We traveled to Indiana back roads to see and shoot the annual Miss Nude Universe Contest held at a “notorious” nudist camp. They wanted $15 a head at the gate so we parked down the road and crawled through the brush. Once in, we encountered truckers and hundreds of Sunday photographers straining for a shot at the contestants. Afterward we joined the quest for stray women willing to pose. After a quick success we headed home with our catch in the can.

This film shows, with the use of single-frames, Kren's diary-like notes from 1968 to 1976, especially his entries about the work on the three previous films. At the very end a fragment of a failed first attempt of Keine Donau (No Danube) is shown. The coffee company can also be seen, which has given the film its name.

Phil Morton's General Motors was created in 1976. Then based in Chicago, the late Phil Morton created this project as a playful and critical video response in conversation with a local General Motors dealership from whom he had purchased a van. Segments 'Colorful Colorado' and 'RYRAL' begin after the video-complaints cease. Produced at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (where Morton founded the Video Area), this work includes Dan Sandin and Tom DeFanti who collaboratively developed the early Video Art scene in Chicago.
