Cinematic Era: 1976 Vintage

The film is a portrait of a milkmaid who became chairwoman of a collective farm. Malinina was regularly featured in film magazines, and a lot was written about her. And it is not surprising — she is a great person by Soviet standards: a laureate of the State Prize, twice Hero of Socialist Labor, "innovator of collective farm production." Traditionally, such people were filmed exclusively in production and in the stands, with a cheerful announcer commenting on their outstanding achievements. Obukhovich showed it quite differently. And not "at the machine", but in a completely different environment.

This black-and-white film explores the dividing line between the theatrical imagination and everyday reality in its story of a narcissistic silent movie actor who believes his screen image as a great lover but is in fact a confused bisexual. His girlfriend, also an actress, is also caught up in the fuzzy space between fantasy and reality but feels this as a loss and tries to do something about it.

A family evacuates to the Bulgarian countryside during World War II

Set at the end of the XIX-th century. Madame Dulska is the sole and absolute ruler of her house in Cracow. She is ruthless, greedy and oversensitive of the reputation of her family. To protect his son from temptations she overlooks the affair he is having with the maid. Young Dulski first wants to marry the girl, but then yields to his mother demands and turns his interest to a cousin. Everything returns to normal: his father has his habitaul visits to a brothel, his son to a cabaret and Madame Dulska safeguards her reign.

To celebrate his promotion, a manager (Javier Portales) decides to summon his brother from the field, but as he did not stop making disasters he sends him back. His brother (Jorge Porcel) is not convinced and dazzled by an advertisement decides to set up an investigation office.

A Goldoni style comedy which launched the movie careers of Trixia Gomez and singing sensation Rico J. Puno,. Vivian Velez was discovered and eventually became a major player in the industry as a producer and a star. Others in the cast are Marlon Ramirez, Anita Linda, Bella Flores, Angie Ferro and Marissa Delgado. The story is about a cabaret (a dance hall with taxi dancers) which opens in a fishing village sparking a major ruckus. It tells of a girl, who, because she is poor, joins the cabaret to be able to survive and support her younger sister (Andrea Bautista, the producer’s daughter) and brother (Bong Revilla who is at present an action superstar and Philippine Senator). The hypocrisy of the country’s rural life comes to fore. A visiting singer becomes the hapless girl’s knight in shining armor.

After a car accident Bakhtiyar took the blame for his wife, who was driving the car. But this did not change the bad relationship between them, his wife went to another, while Bakhtiar recovered in the hospital. After the incident it was difficult for Bakhtiyar to trust people. A secret marriage takes place between them, attended only by Akhter's closest aides and a dubious maulvi. After consummating the marriage, Akhter informs a stunned Farzana of his true intentions. Then together with her they get into trouble with a group of criminals and must leave the country, taking a flight to Caracas, where they arrive posing as an Argentine vedette and her two representatives.

It's a weekend morning and the grandfather is preparing a fried dish from freshly picked mushrooms. His grandson Ondra is looking forward to it, but his daughter-in-law Olinka declares that the mushrooms are poisonous and that the grandfather wants to poison them. The offended grandfather gives the fried dish to the dog and goes to the pub. In the meantime, the father returns with the shopping and unpleasant news, and in the afternoon, relatives come to visit. They confirm that the mushrooms are not poisonous at all, so the wife fries them for lunch. The relatives enjoy themselves, but then Ondra returns from the pub with tragic news: the dog Pardál is dead. Panic breaks out...

A foreign agent, Sami Ameni, wants to find another agent, with whom he has collaborated during WWII, in order to blow up a factory.

The film is about special sea expedition which put out to sea to deliver oil to Russia at the cost of their lifes.

He is generous and extravagant, blindly believing their words that they will persuade her to accept him. However, Radka has no idea that Bay Mihal has feelings for her.

TV adaptation of the Bora Stankovic drama, the most staged play in the history of Serbian theatre. Set in the southern Serbian town of Vranje, it is a tragedy about a Gypsy singing girl destined to marry but not for love. The old man Mitke loves her beauty and singing, but doesn't love her as a woman. Her talent and free spirit reminds him of his youth, young age and all he had to sacrifice for loveless marriage and unhappiness in order to fit into conventions.

"This film is about depression, although it's not that depressing. I suppose it has a message of faith and hope in it ... it does for me .... But then again my interest may not match yours. It was shot in San Francisco and in Central Oklahoma with a cast of one man and four women. Crushing emotions are indulged in against a massive meteorological background that brings inspiration and terror to the characters involved."

Geri Ashur’s Me & Stella traces the life of blues musician, folk singer, and composer Elizabeth Cotten—and her guitar, Stella—who is best known for writing the folk standard “Freight Train.” After spending her early teenage years writing songs and playing the guitar, Cotten put her musical career on hold for three decades. Encouraged by the very musical Seeger family, for whom she worked as a maid, Cotten started recording and became a star in the 1960s burgeoning folk revival at an age when most people are contemplating retirement.

A disturbing cinematic opera from Melbourne film-maker, Michael Lee, presenting an intense emotional collage of film clips, original footage and complex object animation, structured loosely in the form of a Catholic Mass, to communicate the film-maker's traumatic Catholic experience. The film is intended in part as 'anti-imagery' in response to the iconography of Catholicism.
