The boxing-gloves used later in the action lie at the ready beneath his chair."

Victoria Etcetera is a unique meditation on London's Victorian and imperial legacies, made as a collaboration between photographer Gori and graphic designer Facetti. Facetti is most famous for his time as head of design at Penguin Books in the 1960s, but he also appeared in Chris Marker's short La Jetée (1962) - another film composed of still images.

A young man with an interest in ornithology arrives to study the work of falcons and their human trainers. The head falconer is a cold and heartless man who obstinately demands perfection from everyone around him. His work is his life, and he doesn't care if his girlfriend makes love to other men. The young man observes all he can before leaving behind the potentially inhuman situation for brighter horizons.

Three-part short film. In 'Blindfold Catching', a blindfolded Acconci reacts, flinching and lunging, as rubber balls are repeatedly thrown at him from off-screen. In 'Soap & Eyes', he tries to keep his eyes open after dousing his face with soapsuds, resulting in a tragicomic clown face. In 'Hand and Mouth', he repeatedly forces his fist into his mouth until he gags.

Film-Am Edgar falls in love with Vilma. The two had a set back that ended with Edgar returning all Vilma’s love letters that he regreted and wanted it back. He went to Vilma’s house to retrieve it but was caught and accused of stealing. The whole misunderstanding ended up in court but was settled eventually. Edgar left the country but returned for Alona Alegre’s wedding to Victor Wood. He also reunited Vilma.

Even in 1970, films were made, prepared in previous years and expressing the poetics of that time. Ivan Renč created an almost protocol parable, deliberately set outside time and space, playing out a supremely model situation. In a somewhat rambling and not always convincing story, it tells the story of a young prison guard who dreams of living on a lonely lighthouse. He is ridiculous in his own way, with a distorted character, he hardly finds any satisfaction in his job, he cannot command the slightest respect from the prisoners - and the hero then takes out his excess pressure by abusing a defenseless dog. And one day there will be a short circuit meeting.
