An unusual cartoon that equates a dog/cat rivalry with a spurned lover relationship. A dog about to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge explains his actions. He was living peacefully when suddenly, Flora, a Siamese cat, entered his life. He chased after her but she caught him and beat him up. He tried using subtlelty by luring her with a saucer of milk while he readied himself with a mallet but she outsmarted him by drinking from a straw, then stealing the mallet and clobbering him with it. At this point, the dog concluded Flora was a) shunning him and b) had left an impression on him. After a failed attempt at poisoning her drink, he became a derelict, shunned by all (including Santa Claus) and losing everything while Flora has soared to a life of luxury. End of story. The dog gets ready to jump but instead decides to press onward no matter "what road he takes". Alas, he is run over when crossing the street by a car driven by Flora!

Hussein is a young villager who dreams of becoming a famous singer because of his beautiful voice, which makes his cousin Ghobashi drives a wedge between him and his love Sitita. Hussein travels to Cairo in search of opportunity, he finds his chance in a singing hall and becomes famous.

The judge's voice, presumably reading the indictment, over footage of well dressed civilians wearing stars either arriving at Westerbork or boarding for deportation to Auschwitz or Belsen. São José do Vale do Rio Preto, 1940. The coffee plantation is depleted, generating consequences for the region: with the decay, commercial houses are closed, railroads are removed and farms are abandoned. The former source of income for that population since the end of the 19th century has given way to poultry farming, which is gradually developing into a new economic cycle, despite the fear of those who still live in the city and in the village of Tristão Câmara.

The film opens with a montage - scenes of hungry people in one city after another.We imagine we are seeing Germany, but then realize we are looking at Paris, London, Naples. The reveal is shocking. The film was made to help Germans realize that they were not the only ones to suffer from the food shortages caused by the war. Its other message was to encourage German farmers to sell their agricultural products instead of hording them.

A movie about improvement proposals in factories. It shows viewers how patents are accepted, how tenders are called, and how improvement proposals are submitted. The film calls for other innovators to follow suit, thereby contributing to catching up with and outstripping the globál economy.

Billy and his mother attend his classroom's presentation on manners and courtesy. Through Billy's illustrations, we learn about simple gestures that make life with other people more tolerable. However, it seems most of the children's parents didn't bother to attend the politeness exhibit.

The premise of the program was intended as a satire and parody version of the "intellecutual" quiz shows on radio in the 40's, such as "Information Please" and "The Quiz Kids."

Operation Vittles is a 1948 American short documentary film about the Berlin Airlift, from the initial closure of the city in 1948 through 1949. It explains how, what, and why that supported the city. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in partnership with UCLA Film & Television Archive in 2013.

A short Swedish documentary directed by Arne Sucksdorff, produced for the Royal Swedish Waterfalls Board (Kungliga Vattenfallsstyrelsen). With appearances by Kalle Signal and Nicke Strindlund, the 11-minute film was released in 1948.

"Child" is a 1948 short documentary directed by Paul Zils. Unfortunately, specific details about the film's content are scarce, and it appears that the film may be lost.

Shows song, music and dance from Dancehall National, commonly known as Nalen in Stockholm. The film is a pure music and dance film and shows no less than three stellar ensembles in full action - Het Miller's hot quintet from Holland, Seymour Österwall's Swedish elite orchestra and Jimmy Woode's all-black bass are responsible for the music. Black singer Kosto Kilroy and Javanese swing singer Sanny Day are seen and heard as soloists. Furthermore, Nalen's jitterbug stars and adjutant Engvall with his 100 singers and musicians from the Salvation Army participate. A beauty pageant and a carnival also feature prominently in the film. Among the melodies is the popular samba Manana.

Li Zhongming was originally an elementary school teacher, but lost his job due to the war and was displaced to Shanghai. With no money and no home to return to, he is persuaded by Zhu Laowu, a tricycle driver, to ride a tricycle, and his practicality attracts the attention of Sun Jin'e, the owner of a car dealership, who falls in love with him. By chance, Li Zhongming met a young female teacher named Zhao Shuqiu, and a sympathetic relationship soon developed between the two, which made Sun Jin'e very sad. However, because of the huge difference in social status between Li Zhongming and Zhao Shuqiu, the romance soon caused a lot of gossip. Eventually, Zhao Shuqiu loses her job and her home, and the kind-hearted Li Zhongming agrees to let Zhao Shuqiu live in his house, but the two remain innocent of each other.
