The Universal Name Band Musical short (house-production number 3306) features Red Ingle and His Natural Seven Band, and band vocalist Karen Tedder. The opening number is "Natural Seven Stomp," a Red Ingle original,followed by Karen Tdder singing "The Man with the Big Sombrero." The Albins do a burlesque-ballet to "How Strange," and Tedder returns to sing "Your Red Wagon."

Based on an agreement with the USSR from July 1946 on the mutual resettlement of citizens, around 40,000 Volhynian Czechs moved to Czechoslovakia in 1947. The large-scale repatriation operation was not without complications. The short film also addresses these, but they remain overshadowed by the post-war optimism, with which the resettlers were sent to the depopulated borderlands.

Known as Great China's most charming star at the time, Li Lihua starred as Zhao Lingru, a female Robin Hood-esque hero who fights for the poor. Her brother (Yang Zhiqing), however, is the tyrannical leader of a gang. For the sake of justice, Lingru has no choice but to turn her back on family. Producer Yan Chuntang, who gave Li her start on the silver screen, made good use of Li's Peking opera training and transformed Li into a righteous action heroine. Her sword fight opposite Yang is a highlight of the film, showcasing Li's physical agility. Spending a significant part of the film with part of her face covered as the Lady Thief, Li's fierce glance is already enough to express a myriad of emotions. Also worth noting is the film's costume design, which adds an interesting contemporary flavour to the Republic-era setting of the story.

The inhabitants of a town try to expel from the place a young man whose only sin is having been the seventh son of a family.

Milan leaves his home and joins the "youth brigade", a group of young people who worked on a railway track. Tragedy strikes when Milan is injured operating one of the mechanical drills that make the building of tunnels possible. But his dedication is greater than his pain, and so he rushes back to the building site instead of staying in the hospital so that he can help the brigade meet the deadline for the completion of the tunnel.
