In Hell, Satan appears to tell us that rhythm is coming to life again, then we're taken to a sound stage where Jimmie Lunceford conducts his dance orchestra. He's in black tie and a tuxedo of white tales and black trousers. He announces that rhythm is our business, and that's the orchestra's first number, with vocal, sax, bass, and trumpet solos. Myra Johnson sings "You Can't Pull the Wool Over My Eyes" in her animated style, the Three Brown Jacks tap dance, and the short closes with two up-tempo numbers with two sax players tap dancing and the horn players taking off their tux coats to start a make-shift percussion section.

On July 10, 1936, the Time Corporation released the seventh episode of the second year of its newsreel series The March of Time, which included a controversial sequence titled “An American Dictator.” This segment, purportedly a journalistic exposé, centered on the rise to power and political career of then Dominican head of state Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina. The content of the short piece accused Trujillo of committing many politically motivated crimes, including murder, and caused a brief diplomatic crisis between the United States and the Dominican Republic. - Naida García-Crespo

In the world of fashion, banking, and the glamour of a luxury hotel, a man seeks the attention of a beautiful woman.

Paweł Kalina is a technician by education, but he cannot find a job and works in one of Warsaw's dance clubs as a bartender and singer. There he meets Ellen Ward, a young American journalist who is about to return to the US. Paweł, enchanted by the woman and deluded by the desire to realize his dream of a certain invention, wants to follow her.

The greatest achievement of Ukrainian animation in the 1930s was the epic animated film "The Magic Ring", an independent director's work by Semen Huietskyi. The epic animated film, unfortunately, has not been preserved, we only have Borys Kryzhanivskyi's impressions: "It was really beautifully made. With great taste, without sentimentality and excessive stylization. In the film, the approaches to the creation of national cartoons in the form of cartoons, which have their roots in folk art, were clarified. But the film "The Magic Ring" was declared a manifestation of "Ukrainian bourgeois nationalism" and put on the shelf. The director had to leave the studio."
