Here's a surefire number if ever there was one. Filled with innumerable original gags and laugh-getting animal stuff, it forms an offering that's good enough to bill just as heavily as the feature. You can't go wrong with a Joe Martin comedy and this is one of his best!

Influenced by California Pictorialist photography of the preceding decades, it was in its own day recognized as an avant-garde film, but nevertheless it secured successful commercial distribution.

“At Your Service” (aka James Manages a Restaurant), 1921, starring Sidney Smith, is a nice and inventive silent comedy. James and George are seen driving down the street in an extremely dilapidated vehicle and they stop when they see a sign on a restaurant window asking for buyers OR someone willing to trade for the business. Well, given that the car is a mess, they figure to make a killing by trading it for the restaurant.

Flip is balancing his hat on his face while leaning forwards and backwards. He eventually falls face forward. Flip opens the tent flap to reveal a lot of large animals behind him. A large animal creature-I have no idea what it is-comes out and starts to interact with Flip. Flip keeps hitting him. Flip puts his head in the animal's mouth. At one point, the animal swallows him as we see moving bumps on the stomach. He then spits him back out!

Popular action heroine Neva Gerber played the dual roles of Lucia and Vera Robilant in this low-budget silent melodrama produced by Benjamin F. Wilson, Gerber's frequent collaborator. Two almost identical women claim ownership to a pocketbook found by author turned adventurer Barry West (James Morrison). Barry is hired by nefarious Nicholas Lanza (Joseph W. Girard) to marry heiress Lucia, who surprisingly turns out to be one of the claimants. Meanwhile, Lucia's lookalike sister Vera is plotting to install herself as Lucia and claim the inheritance. After the wedding, Barry discovers a secret passage and finds the kidnapped Lucia. The villains are brought to justice and Barry and Lucia can finally plan a future together.

The young Evelyne lives with a man, her fiancee Frank, with whom she has a child. But her fiancee is a rundown drunk constantly hanging over the bottle. Evelyne wants to leave Frank.

Maud Goodin is the daughter of a millionaire, content with her present life, but she is an interesting conquest for those wants to get on the social ladder.

Left in the care of his half-breed brother, Buck, by his dying mother, Wallace Layson has no knowledge of his family history. His father, knowing that his son will inherit a ranch on his 21st birthday, tries to secure the property for himself by persuading a dance hall girl to come between the boy and his fiancée. When Buck learns of the plan he decides to foil it without his half-brother knowing.

Due to a misunderstanding, and the vicious streak of her relative David Boyd, Martha Queed is believed to be involved in an illicit affair with Arnold Barry. Her small-minded father, Marvin, insists they marry but the following morning when David is found murdered Arnold is suspected. As sentencing approaches a series of events materialize to prove his innocence.

The mayoress of Grönköping is against all immoral entertainment until she one day falls in love with the circus director that arrives in town.

A rogue poses as the Comte he killed and weds the Princess, but the heir to the throne steals their child.

Two burglar cats carry out a midnight job under the nose of a canine cop. They enter a flat and open the ice-box, from which they steal a large cheese. They are caught as they attempt to escape and brought before court, where the judge decides that the cheese should be divided equally. The court clerk, attracted by the aroma and his appetite, eats part of the cheese and passes around the remainder. The moral brought out by this cartoon is that it is expensive to quarrel.

Played mostly for laughs, this silent Western featured the"The Mediator," a drifter who manages to restore peace both within a family and between miners and their powerful employer.

A vamp seduces a banker and breaks with him when she's obtained all that she wanted.

George Bunny's career as a screen comedian was an attempt to cash in on his brother, John's reputation, but George is no comedian. Here he plays a young man -- he is supposed to have been in his mid-fifties when this movie was made, but if so, he could have passed for 30 -- who heads over to a sanitarium filled with the usual crazy types, falls in love and runs off with the leading lady, all without doing anything that might be called in the least funny.

The marriage of Jim and Esther spirals downhill rapidly when Esther purchases a sable coat for herself. Hoping to live up to her expensive accessory, Esther soon is keeping company with caddish Morrell. Jim brings his wife's galavanting to an abrupt end by committing suicide. Esther as an object lesson for young Alice Kendall, returns the fur coat that she's bought on impulse.

Militis, a sailor, returns to a bar where he finds Sarah, the girl he once loved and is still attracted to. However, he is now married to an exotic woman who took care of him during an illness.

Meanwhile, Lady Mary has broken up with the man she dumped Deering for and travels to the desert, determined to get him back and to let nothing stand in her way.
