The psychic persuades the judge to grant the condemned man a retrial, and he sets out to uncover the identity of the real killer, during which time he manages to prevent a second murder from occurring.

In early 1860's Mexico, Nicolás (Contreras Torres) wants to marry Manuela (Chavarri) but she runs off with bandit El Zarco (Cantalauba) She soon becomes disillusioned by her lover's cruelty and the brutality of bandit life. In the meantime, Nicolas has turned his romantic attentions to Pilar, Manuela's adopted sister. At the climax. El Zarco is captured and shot, Nicolas marries Pilar, and Manuela dies.

Ralph Kirkwood is falsely tried for murder. He is found guilty after being represented by lawyer, Tom Gannell. Kirkwood's wife believes she knows the identity of the real killer and sets about trapping him.

James is finally assasinated by Bob Ford. All told in a flashback style by Jesse James Jr. to a eastern baeu asking for his daughters' hand in marrage.

Now California’s sunshine would be packaged for the nation year-round.

Austin Bevans, a lively car-salesman, suddenly finds himself heir to the Bevans School for Girls. Since Austin feels that acquiring grace and charm are more important to a young girl than acquiring knowledge, academic courses are dropped, and a charm school emerges. He submits to the charms of Elsie, a student at the school, whose grandfather takes him into his employ after a newly discovered will dispossesses him of the school. Elsie resents Austin for accepting a job with those who formerly thought him undesirable, but later she relents and takes him back.

Enid North, who is engaged to manufacturer John Barr, secretly takes a business course and gets a position in Barr's offices, without his knowledge. (The general manager has been instructed to give her anything she wants.) Attracting the attentions of the office men, she is threatened with dismissal by Barr, and she returns her engagement ring. She suspects John of being unfaithful when she sees him comforting a cafe performer. Enid visits a roadhouse with Amos Lott, who unknown to her is married and has a brood of children; they barely escape detectives who mistake them for criminals; and at Lott's home Enid is berated by his wife. She discovers that Barr has been following her, and confessing her folly she begs his forgiveness.

When Miriam Smith's devoutly religious aunt and uncle insist that she marry pious Simeon Althoff, she answers an ad in a matrimonial newspaper and runs away to New York to meet her correspondent. Upon learning that Miles Sprague, the man in the ad, is coming to claim her, Miriam gets cold feet and begs her experienced friend Kittie Swasher, the hotel telephone operator, for help. When Miles arrives, Kittie pretends that she is Miriam and the three go to a cabaret. Meanwhile, the detectives employed by Miriam's aunt and uncle to bring her home appear and arrest Kittie, thinking that she's Miriam. Simeon arrives soon after and identifies the real Miriam, who is then taken home and locked in her room. Kittie and Miles follow and rescue Miriam, who realizes that she has fallen in love with the man from her ad.

An Englishman, is travelling to Australia on a ship. He is falsely accused of murdering the ship's captain and arrested.

A doctor dreams that he has shot and killed a local gambler. Awakened by a sudden noise, he discovers that the gambler is lying on his living-room floor, shot to death. Unnerved, he flees to Canada, but the RCMP finds out he's there and sets out to track him down.

The Madsens and the Sørensens are eagerly awaiting a visit from their rich uncle Bims from America. As the ship docks, the two couples stand ready like drooling dogs about to chow down. However, the four are in for a sore disappointment: the gifts brought along by their uncle turn out to be very modest in scope. Enraged, the Sørensens destroy their gifts and mock the uncle by throwing cream puffs at his portrait in their living room. Mr Madsen wastes no time in getting rid of the cheap pearl necklace his wife has received. But the necklace keeps coming back in mysterious ways – which proves very fortuitous for them. Irene Fletcher, the pampered daughter of a Long Island millionaire on the brink of bankruptcy, has two suitors - struggling architect John Marshall, and wealthy clothing designer Charles Munson. Scorning her father's plea for her to curb her passion for beautiful clothes and live more modestly, she trips and is knocked unconscious. In a dream, Irene's father goes to Munson for financial assistance and Munson agrees, in exchange for her father agreeing to try to influence Irene to marry him. When it is announced at Irene's birthday party that she and Marshall have secretly married, Munson refuses to lend the money to Irene's father, who then kills himself with a pistol. After a series of tragic events, Irene awakens, and decides to marry Marshall.

At the harvest fiesta, Don Luis Baldarama, owner of one of California's great ranchos, expects to announce the betrothal of his son, Audre, to Isabella Chavez, the daughter of a neighboring don named Miguel Chavez. However, Audre plans to elope with Erolinda Vargas, the daughter of the ranch superintendent. When Audre confesses to Isabella that he loves another, she joyfully admits that she loves someone else, also. Audre and Erolina slip away during a feast and meet at a cabin, but they are surprised by Selistino Vargas, who, believing that his daughter has been dishonored, shoots Audre.

Basiliola Faledro, an exotic dancer, wicked and cunning, arrives from faraway lands seeking to avenge her pagan lineage; Her father and brothers blinded and humilated by frenzied zealots. Her primary targets are the brothers Gràtico, both newly-elected to positions of power: One, Marco, an arbiter and tribune, the other, Sergio, a bishop. The title refers to a bold pronouncement made by Deaconess Ema Gràtico to her subjects the Venetians, a seafaring and desperate tribe-- That their native homeland is aboard a ship.

However, a black eye, a face full of bee-stings, and the general bawling-out of the gang fails to conquer him, and he declares that he is having a bully time.
