Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Drew starred in a series of polite situational comedies, first for Vitagraph and then for their own company, releasing through Metro. Mr. Drew -- uncle of John, Lionel and Ethel Barrymore -- died after his son was killed in the first world war and his wife -- who wrote and seems to have directed a sizeable number of their comedies, starred. In this one, Mr. Drew has been fired from his regular job and, money growing short, takes up a position as a professional patient of a dentist, to reassure the other patients in the room. There he meets and falls in love with Mrs. Drew.
While waiting in a hotel lobby for instructions from his government, Ludwig Schumann, an agent of the Black Legion, is enchanted by Marion Washburn, the daughter of a Texas senator. As he is about to speak to the girl, Schumann is stunned to see a young American enter who could be his double. The American is James Walbert, whom Schumann's contact mistakes for the agent. At a reception given for the vacationing Prince Zarl of Zorania, secretly the emissary of Zorania set on negotiating a treaty with the United States, Geoffrey Wynne, apparently a society dandy, but in reality a secret service agent, meets the prince.
