Princess Melani wants to find out more about her husband-to-be and impersonates a maid. Her fiancé pretends to be a secretary. An addlebrained servant is ordered to play the count. His first official act is to pass a pay rise for himself. In the meantime his highness / the secretary is flirting with the maid.

Pierrot searches for his Columbine who is being embraced by the handsome Harlequin. This tinted film without intertitles charmingly retells the well-known story of the amorous trio. Playing the clavichord, Columbine sends Pierrot to sleep. She is as graceful as he is noisily snoring. His head nods backwards. Seduced by Harlequin's advances, the young woman disappears faster than her shadow.

Bobby works at his father's office; there is some question of payment, however.

FRAGMENT | Hannibal comes across as a total lunatic in his desperate attempt to impress Miss Alma and her father. The troubles arise when Hannibal forgets his nicest shirt at home. The recently orphaned Enriqueta has to work to earn a living; She finds a job with the widower Julio Mancera, for whom she works as governess for her little daughter. After a while, the two fall in love and get married. But then, Julio's cousin Eva returns from Europe and tries to separate the couple. She is almost successful, but her plans are thwarted at a party she throws for Julio and his friends, where she is surprised by Julio, Enriqueta, and the other guests in a compromising situation with Julio's best friend, Mauricio.

In eighteenth century France, the evil Prince de Montrale falls in love with Liane, but she runs away from him and seeks refuge in a monastery. The prince finds her and orders the abbot to keep her in custody. A young novice, Brother Paul, is placed in charge of Liane and falls in love with her, despite having just taken his vows of celibacy.

Vincent, the lazy son of a wealthy father, travels to the country in an attempt to clean up his act. There he meets Kitty Trent, and he offers to marry her. His intention is to hold a fake ceremony, but Kitty's childhood sweetheart, Tom Wilson, finds out about this scheme and threatens Vincent at gunpoint to make the wedding a real one. Vincent does, but afterwards goes on seeing other women, neglecting his wife and, later, baby.

A 1917 Argentinian film.

Once again, the Daughter of Darkness has been put behind bars for yet another one of her infamous crimes. But help is on its way: Her assistant ties a string with a piece of coal and paper to a snake's tale and sends the glistening predator up the drainpipe to the prison window. The Daughter of Darkness informs her helper about the time and place for her imminent transferral to another prison, and when the plans work out, the underground mastermind is off to new adventures. The world's first animated surf movie

Stanislaus Krestowsky lives in a border town close to Germany where he works as a day laborer. He hears about job opportunities at the coal-mine Cecilie in Lützendorf and decides to move there with his family. After one year of working at the coal-mine he has considerably raised his standard of living. A substantial part of the film shows how briquets are manufactured.

The story is about Max who in holiday in Switzerland meets two young American girls. They're friends, the first one is blond, the other one is brunette. He falls in love with the two of them and decide to declare his flame first to the brunette then to the blond. When they realize the game Max is playing, they decide to play also. It is a delicate comedy between the three characters realized all in outsides (certainly around the Leman's lake)with a very good direction and very pretty images. The two unknown actress are also very charming. One of the best of Max Linder.

Film is the opening of the second New York State suffrage campaign on Sept. 8, 1917 at Sagamore Hill. The first campaign, beginning in 1913, was unsuccessful; the woman suffrage amendment was rejected by the voters in 1915. On Nov. 6, 1917, the suffrage amendment to the New York State Constitution was approved by the voters. The suffragists invited to Sagamore Hill were headed by Mrs. Norman deR. Whitehouse, State Chairman of the New York State Woman Suffrage Party. Sequence of TR talking to three women: the woman in the dark hat and coat is Mrs. Ogden Mills Reid; the woman dressed in furs next to TR is Mrs. Whitehouse; and the tall woman in the light hat and jacket is Mrs. James Lees Laidlaw.

Nancy Croyden, born of British nobility, languishes in the slums of New York after she elopes with Terrence Flynn, a groom on her father's estate. Nancy dies there, leaving behind a daughter, Susan Flynn, who grows to adulthood in the Bowery. In search of her family, Susan returns to England where she befriends Sir Bevis Neville, an English peer in disguise.

On April 14, 1917, Archie Roosevelt marries Grace S. Lockwood at the Emmanuel Church in Boston, Massachusetts. Addressing more than 50,000 people gathered around a decorated music platform, Mme. Bernhardt stands and speaks from an open touring car parked in front of the platform. Medium close shot of Mme. The film chronicles East Prussian history from its pagan origins to the start of World War I in 1914, highlighting the Battle of Tannenberg. The first three acts cover the region’s early history, including the Teutonic Order’s founding, the Brandenburg electors’ era, and the impact of Napoleonic troops, with Queen Luise as a comforting figure. The third act depicts modern Prussia’s resurgence affecting East Prussia. The final two acts focus on the Russian invasion of Masuria in August 1914, showing the devastation and the portrayal of Cossack hordes as destructive. Retired General Paul von Hindenburg arrives, ending the atrocities and leading to a decisive Russian defeat at Tannenberg, culminating in East Prussia’s liberation.

Carelessness on the part of Johnny Roberts and the growing drudgery of married life causes an estrangement between Johnny and his wife Mary. The final break comes when Johnny, sick with a fever, returns home to be accused of drunkenness by Mary. Johnny leaves his wife to seek solace in Anne, the innkeeper's daughter, and the two live happily together until the outbreak of the war. When England is threatened, Johnny enlists and is sent to the front. In the meantime, Mary, with her little baby, seeks Anne out to ask for some of her husband's money to take care of the child. A mutual understanding springs up between the two women and upon Johnny's arrival home, the self-sacrificing Anne disappears and Johnny returns to his wife and child.

It is Sunday in Cobweb Corners. The ring of hammer in our hero's blacksmith shop is silent. The melody of a hymn steals out of the village church. The village belle is flirting with the simple-hearted smith. It is Monday, and the village belle is plunged in sorrow. Hiram Hardheart demands her hand in marriage. He will foreclose the mortgage. Enter the smith. Exit the villain. Fate opens the way to pay off the mortgage. The smith challenges One Punch Murph. They fight for a purse of $1,000. The village belle in boy's clothing sits near the ring, to urge her sturdy champion on. Round one. Saved by the bell. Round two. The blacksmith knocks out everybody, including the referee. Hardheart gets the money and the smith gets the girl.

Sweden's only war film during World War I.

One of the "Jerry" series from Folly Comedies. "Jerry, whose uncle left him a fortune, but forgot where he left it."

Pokes is a sport when his wife is not around - when she is, he is meekness itself. A game is going on at the club and Pokes is phoned for, but his wife gets the message and Pokes is sent to bed. Jabs, the policeman, is a sweetheart of Jennie, the maid, and calls for his daily refreshments. Meanwhile Mrs. Pokes has gone out and Pokes wanders into the kitchen. He sees Jabs' coat and hat and hastily donning them escapes to the club. Getting back is more difficult, however, but after exciting experiences with several cops and a burglar, Pokes manages to get home, only to be confronted by Mrs. Pokes. The bold story he tells fails to convince his irate wife, who proceeds to massage him with a wooden lower extremity. Pokes is now studying the game of "Old Maid" and trying to learn to tell the truth and once more make friends with his wife.

With a book, "Old People and Their Care" as her guide, she puts them through a course of exercising "sprouts," orders hygienic meals, throws wide the windows to cold winds, and upsets their well-ordered comfort.
