Only a brief fragment survives from the beginning of this film, which seems to be a moving romantic melodrama: Diana Karenne plays the piano surrounded by a group of admirers in evening dress. She is a beautiful and slightly spoiled heiress, the kind of woman for whom Italian silent cinema reserved unfortunate turns of fate in order to elevate her to the status of tragic heroine. Even the few minutes remaining make clear that she proposes her own reinterpretation of the genre’s themes and motifs: from astonished grief over her father’s death to desperate wanderings through dark and impoverished alleyways. It is an expressive palette around which Pasquali weaves his discreet direction, paying particular attention to lighting effects.

A female reworking of “The Prince and the Pauper” when American Marcia Avery, on vacation in the little principality of Crona, discovers she is the exact image of the queen of that country, the frivolous Madcap Queen. Marcia and the queen meet one day and become very friendly, after a great deal of persuasion the queen finally induces Marcia to take her place for a week. Romantic complications and the near fall of the monarchy follow until all is resolved happily.

Soon after Pauline D'Arcy, an untutored country girl from the Northwest, is left destitute by the death of her father, she falls in love with a middle-aged married man, John Adams, whose alias is Abbott. Although never intending to marry her, Abbott promises to send Pauline to college. During her studies, she falls in love with her lover's son Richard, while at the same time establishing a literary career. She anonymously publishes a novel based on her experiences and it becomes a best seller.

The Toilers is a 1916 American film drama directed by Edgar Lewis.

The film discovered in 1916, is the second part of two circus-themed films released in the same year. Daniel Rok is pulp fiction, one of the many attempts to create an action film, following the footsteps of the Danish, the French, and the Americans. A good quarter of Russian pre-revolutionary film industry consisted of pictures like this. A circus drama was almost a sub-genre of its own. What distinguishes this film is the involvement of actual circus performers, some of the biggest names in the industry, many of them having never made another film. One could only wish that all of them would perform their signature acts, like Sergei Alperov and his son Dmitry Alperov, the legendary acrobats. Instead, Williams Truzzi, arguably the most famous Russian circus jockey of his time, plays the villain, Tamara Gamsakurdia, a horseback dancer, appears as his innocent victim, and Nikolai Nikitin, who would soon become the owner and director of the Moscow circus, becomes the noble hero.

An advertising film where posters are presented about the festival held on 9 July at the stadium in Amsterdam.

Christopher Race is engaged to take in his Scarlet Runner Ponsonby Fitzgerald, an eccentric novelist, and a party of friends to a ball. The affair as planned by Fitzgerald is to end in a great joke, whereby his party will be awarded the prize for the most sensational entrance to the ball.

Christopher Race, forced by his uncle to earn his own living for a change, buys Scarlet Runner, an exceptionally fine automobile. He at first tries hiring it out to private parties, but meets with no success.

Jack O'Brien comes to the mining town of El Dorado with nothing but his pluck and his music. Biddy Malone was the first to hear his singing, and it won a place for the lad in her heart and a job at her woodpile to pay for his board, while Mary, who lived with Biddy, looked and listened, and learned to love the big singer. Hardpan Henry, who owned the Lucky Strike claim, and who was really Mary's father, also hears the troubadour's song, took a fancy to the lad and showed him the sights of El Dorado.

A writer, looking for some peace and quiet in order to finish a novel, takes a room at the Baldpate Inn. However, peace and quiet are the last things he gets, as there are some very strange goings-on at the establishment.

Tom is working on a ranch where things have been pretty quiet lately. But today the foreman has received a letter from an old friend, who is sending his daughter to the ranch to get some 'local color' for a story that she is writing. The foreman and the ranch hands decide to stage some events that will give her more excitement than she bargained for.

Mayor of Lynboro, Loren Hayward is so dedicated to his work, he soon neglects Milly his young wife. In order to rekindle his affections, she engages in a flirtation with ladies' man Robert Chapman, an all too willing suitor who forces her to kiss him.

Marion Moore, a young woman from a wealthy family, and her encounter with the harsh realities of industrial labor. Her sweetheart, Frank Kenyon, exposes the appalling working conditions in her father's factory, particularly the plight of a young worker, Mina, whose hand is mangled in a machine. Marion initially resists confronting her father, but a visit to Mina's home, forced by Frank, changes her perspective.

Lucy is a woman from Rio's upper middle class who, after seeing her husband leave home to live with his lover, starts a relationship with another man, even though she is still officially a married woman.

Zimmerman is a German tailor. Two important men of the city visit Zim and induce him to sign as a volunteer, spurring him on by ordering fancy vests, full dress suits, etc. Zim, in the wild excitement of having received such a big order, signs the official papers without realizing what he is doing. It is only when Zim is home with his family that he realizes the terrible thing he has done.

Pelle Jöns is trying to play the guitar for the audience, when the chairs start to live their own life.

A chunky British man (actually looks like John Bull) is seen preparing a strange tank / armoured vehicle for battle - he cranks it up with a handle. A German soldier watching from a trench, beside 'German cooking range' looks shocked and his helmet flies off his head.

2 men battle over a woman

The widow lives in a houseboat near one of the beaches. Charley is her devoted lover, but his bashfulness prevents him from proposing. She has a daughter, Lilly, who is visiting in a nearby town. She accepts Heinie subject to her mother's approval. The mother cannot see it and wires her daughter that she cannot marry the young man unless he shows her $5,000. She orders the girl home. Heinie says that he has a brother living near the widow's houseboat and that he will accompany Lilly home so as to be on the ground. Heinie and Charley are very much alike, in fact, the only difference between the brothers is in the way in which they wear their mustaches.

A newlywed in love finds it hard to leave his wife for work.

Photo record of people by the titular waterfall. It is known that Hans Berge traveled around Minnesota at this time and therefore this may be his own recording, but it may also be a recording Berge has bought. Possibly it is a fragment from a production of Selig Polyscope Company.

When cowboy actor Buck Parvin gets his friends Ben and Tommy jobs on the set, all three run into trouble. Ben stealing a prop for the set, Tommy spoiling the seen with the heroine taming a lion, and Buck when he fights a kangaroo.
