Funnicus is hunting, while at his home many of his friends await his return very impatiently. Suddenly he makes his appearance, his game-bag full, of newspapers. He tells his friends that he actually disdains small game, and to illustrate the story of his wondrous adventures, turns the house topsy-turvy. His wife, alarmed, advises him to go to bed and calm his excited brain. Nightmares disturb his sleep. He finds himself in Africa, traveling on camel, accompanied by many guides. He arrives at an Arab's camp and jests with the Arabian maidens who, for revenge, put out his fires in the forest the following night. The fires out, the wild beasts arrive, and he just has time to climb a tree where he is out of reach of two big lions, who wait for him at the foot of the tree. Our great Hunter courageously risks his life by descending from the tree. He tries to strangle the lion, but suddenly awakens and finds himself clutching at his wife's throat.

In this moving drama, a young man discovers his old athletic instructor panhandling on the street, and becomes determined to find a way to earn the money necessary to secure the older man's survival.

Luca Comerio is perhaps the greatest documentary filmmaker in Italian silent cinema. War films have an important place within his immense production, in particular the ones dedicated to the Italo-Turkish war in 1912. Our war navy concentrates on sailors‘ daily life, on work, physical exercise, leisure moments, battle simulations.

The flat tops of the houses give the town an Eastern appearance - the narrow, roughly paved thorough fare through which loosely cloaked natives proceed on mule-back, the marabouts or travelling priests, the palm trees which are frequently encountered, are all typical of a life widely different from that of the bustling Western world.

The company's photographer, Mr. Goitizolo, and his assistants marched on foot alongside the troops who were carrying out the attack on the fortified village, and upon which the artillery fire supporting said attack was directed. The explosions of the bombs can be seen in some parts of the film. This film is of real interest, and we have no doubt that the graphic depiction it presents of the brilliant maneuvers recently carried out will draw the Lima public to the Cinema Theater.

Crowds watch the funeral cortege passing through Thorndon. The Marist priest, Charles Venning, died in a motorcycle accident in Hill Street, Thorndon on 21 November 1912. He was driving back to the Catholic presbytery on his motorcycle when he took the corner too sharply and hit a post, falling off the bike and fatally hitting his head.

Ponting during Captain Robert Falcon Scott’s ill-fated Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913), this 1912 documentary presented British audiences with the first moving pictures of Antarctica. Sponsored and distributed by Gaumont, the multi-reel program showed the Terra Nova ship, the Cape Evans base camp, daily routines of the expedition team, Antarctic wildlife, and striking scenes of the ice landscape. Released in London in 1912—before news of Scott’s death reached Britain—it became enormously popular, combining scientific record with patriotic spectacle.

While the old man continues to play cards with his pals, Rigadin and the young wife go into a room; the husband soon follows and kicks him out. But when he dons a different hat, he isn't recognized. It's a very slight addition to Prince's series as Rigadin, and at times seems a trifle incoherent to modern viewers, most of whom have never seen a formal hat of any description. Instead they will notice the pulled faces and painted backdrops, as Prince tries and fails to make this minor one-reel comedy more interesting. With Suzanne Demay and Armand Lurville.

Whiffles. the noted comedian, is married to a shrew, who proves more than his match in their many conflicts. A discolored eye is the last straw and Whiffles decides to tame his wife's aggressiveness. He buys the magic wand of Professor Jinks and marches bravely home. He arrives late for dinner and his wife aims a blow at him. He touches her with the magic wand, but, alas, with the wrong end, producing two wives instead of making one disappear. The wives combine forces, take the magic wand away and pound the unfortunate Whiffles until he apologizes.
