A strange legend says that the Sun of ancient Peru, contrary to what history and tradition maintain, was not a source of life and fertility, but of destruction and death. This led to the ideas of the apocalypse and the end of history being embodied in episodes that occurred at various points in Peruvian history. In the past, a young woman from the viceregal aristocracy falls in love with a leper. In the present, drug addiction spreads, with the consequence of multiple social tensions. In the future, the fear of nuclear holocaust moves a character, Dr. Olmar, to warn humanity of the impending risk.

The wholesale market of Lima, called La Parada, is the setting for the ambitions of a couple who own a food stall. The young man wants to leave Lima and start a new life in the province, farming the land. But his partner opposes these plans, as she believes they have already achieved a certain status and position, even if it means working in this immense market, populated by colorful characters always ready for a Creole celebration.

While awaiting the arrival of Simón Bolívar's army, groups of patriots gathered clandestinely in the Junín region, ready to confront the troops loyal to the Spanish crown. They were led by the guerrilla fighter José Fresco, renowned for his bravery by General José de San Martín. He was accompanied by Rosita, the peasant Ninavilca, and Friar Bruno Terreros. These warriors would join the fight, reinforcing the regular armies. They fought successfully in the battles of Junín and Ayacucho.

The wealthy Sergio de Barrios is poisoned at the Ambassador cabaret while conspiring with a dancer named Lily del Valle. Police officer López is tasked with tracking Barrios's house and finding clues to the crime. He uncovers a drug trafficking network headed by the cabaret owner. A series of murders ensues, aimed at preventing the motive for the millionaire's murder from being revealed. A journalist begins investigating the case, which leads him to the dancer Lily del Valle, with whom he falls in love.

The journey of two groups of people lost in the middle of the jungle while searching for a plane that crashed with an important cargo of gold and documents. One of the groups is made up of soldiers and a woman looking for her boyfriend, a passenger on the plane and the only survivor of the catastrophe. The other expedition is made up of bandits and Soviet spies, willing to do anything to seize the cargo.

A Rio Reuelto, directed by the Chilean Luis A. Morales from a story by Ricardo Villarán, was shown to the indifference of the public and critics, and few testimonies about it survive. It is known, however, that he wanted to combine the formula of Creole comedy, which had been the heritage of Amauta Films productions, with ingredients and characters drawn from the social milieu, following the model that had achieved relative success in Penas de Amor, the previous film by the Huascarán company.

The Vertigo of the Condors is the first film of a new stage in Peruvian cinematographic technique. New filming methods have been employed in accordance with American technique. A new style has been used in the argumentation, the interior rights also obey modern aesthetics in cinematography, all of which makes the Vertigo of the Condors the great national cinematic novelty.

In the Neumann shirt factory, the female workers cut, sew, and sing. A bell marks the end of the workday. Two workers go out into the street, where their partners await them. One of the couples is about to get married. The other spends her time arguing, as the enamored man has the irresistible tendency to look at the girls who walk by. The couple goes to see what will be their marital home. They tour it with excitement, making plans about the decoration and furniture for this or that room. Soon after, the couple, now married, gazes at their son asleep in the room they chose for him. On their fifth wedding anniversary, the couple invites their old friends to dinner. At the gathering, the husband feels unwell. They are suffering from headaches caused by a hereditary tumor. Enrique, the husband, is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. His wife and son are with him. The medical prognosis is discouraging

No further information survives about this comedy starring a character typical of costumbrista comedies: "a streetwise fellow with all the trappings of a true Creole, who manages to get a house, food, and a wife," according to the advertising description. Derteano's third film, after *Cosas de la vida* and *Corazón de criollo*, *Padre a la fuerza* featured inexperienced actors or supporting performers, such as Miguel Márquez, who were promoted to leading roles. The film performed poorly commercially, which negatively impacted the fate of the production company Cosmos and director Derteano. No copy of the film survives.

An only child, Renugío enjoys the ranch, but also the comforts and possessions he shares with his father. Fond of revelry, alcohol gives him a euphoria that translates into aggression. He's a tough guy who fights anyone who crosses him. In love with the niece of a wealthy landowner, Juan Manuel Castillo, who owns land neighboring his family's, Renugío must face the hatred of a foreman who, years before, robbed his father. Imprisoned for four years, the foreman, Eustaquio, nurtured the idea of ​​taking revenge on the one who denounced him. Upon his release, he goes to the ranch to fulfill his promise and separate the lovers. Meanwhile, the tough guy learns that he is actually Juan Manuel Castillo's son. In the end, Renugío and Eustaquio confront each other, but the avenger only manages to wound his victim, who, with various injuries, is comforted by the woman who loves him.

A young woman from Lima's high society, very wealthy and spoiled by her father, must decide between the amorous advances of two suitors. One is rich and shares the girl's social background and education. The other is poor and likes the music of the neighborhood. Accompanied by a close friend and some costumes and cosmetics, the young woman visits the working-class neighborhood where her suitor lives, who is also a radio singer. Then she makes a final decision.

In truth, there is nothing in Cosas de la vida, nothing that has a Creole flavor. The entire first part is nothing but a reproduction on the screen, with the natural disadvantages for the same vaudeville artists we see every day in the main or neighborhood theaters. Rumbas, Argentine tangos. Barely a marinera (a marinera played on the piano and possibly the saxophone) gives a weak note of something Creole. The second part of Cosas de la vida has charm; the charm given to it by these three artists: Revolledo, Zamorano, Castillo. There is nothing to be done.

Pedro Cortez, known as Tafichán, a resident of the Perene jungles, is on the run from justice, accused of a crime he committed in self-defense to protect a child. Tafichán is married to Rosa, a woman of Chinese descent, with whom he has a young son. Juan Tremolada, Tafichán's godfather, warns him that a group of the governor's men are searching for him. In a bar, Tafichán encounters Maldonado, the governor's son. They argue and engage in a musical duel, reciting aggressive and offensive verses. They fight, and Maldonado falls wounded to the ground. The governor learns of Tafichán's hiding place and captures him. Tafichán is brought before the governor, who challenges him to a musical contest of bitter and biting rhymes. Maldonado shoots at Tafichán, who is hit in the arm, but returns fire and escapes in the ensuing chaos.

A young girl loses her mind when her long-absent father tries to separate her from her mother. During the attempted kidnapping, the father kills the mother, which traumatizes the girl. After her father is imprisoned, the girl is cared for by neighbors who are unable to prevent a wicked man named Karkow from kidnapping her and taking her to a remote location. The girl grows up with a mental disturbance and becomes an accomplished dancer. One day, she is seen by a doctor of fortune, Dr. Zevallos, who decides to cure her, despite Karkow's opposition. Dr. Zevallos manages to heal the girl, but a physical confrontation with Karkow ensues, similar to the one between her parents. The shock of the experience restores her sanity, and the dancer begins a new life.

The efforts of some horse racing bettors to win with a racehorse named Cachafaz. Meanwhile, a large-scale scam orchestrated by an international gang is foiled.

A film that recreates the life and training of the armed forces during maneuvers... The Peruvian cadet is a quick glimpse into the life of a soldier in the barracks, at camp, and during training. The camera has aptly captured truly interesting scenes that demonstrate the effectiveness of the military instruction offered to our cadets. There are moments when the photographs are sharp and interesting, with perspectives that encompass the entire panorama of the cadets' activities.

Among the fertile fields begins the wild beauty of María, the orphan of Ate, completely forgotten amidst the mysterious horror of her birth. A mystery the region's inhabitants cannot unravel. And did Joaquina, her old and faithful guardian, know who her parents were? The masked man, upon leaving to see his ailing mother, entrusted his daughter to Joaquina. And she devoted herself to raising her with sacrifice, ensuring she enjoyed joys that would make her forget her namelessness.

Feature-length documentary filmed throughout the selection process of the first Miss Peru, Emma McBride.
