The actions of the so-called White Brigade, a special police unit dedicated to combating the sale and consumption of drugs, continue. Their enemies hide throughout the city and are groups of "evil" dealers and hippie-looking young people who are hallucinating from the consumption of marijuana and other herbs.

David, an engineer hired to build an industrial facility, arrives at a traditional hacienda on the Peruvian coast. He travels with Ramón, a scatterbrained assistant. The hacienda belongs to the Herrera family. Among its residents are Doña Rosario, the founder's widow, and her daughter, Marta. The foreman is courting Marta. She is carefree and vain, which leads her to mock David's reserved and fastidious nature. But little by little, Marta finds herself drawn to him. The foreman frowns upon the romance, and his jealousy drives him to seek ways to discredit David.

A woman wanders through the streets of Lima, Peru, using Google Street View. Faced with surveillance footage documenting state violence during the protests of 2022 and 2023, she is confronted with a question: what is to be done with these images?

On a hacienda on the northern coast of Peru, cotton is harvested and celebrated with lively pachamancas. Miguel, the foreman, is in love with Isabel, a young peasant woman. The hacienda is run by Don Francisco, a kind and understanding landowner who supports Miguel's work, but also that of Andrés, the administrator. Andrés is also courting Isabel. One day, Andrés goes to Isabel's room and tries to force himself on her. At that moment, Miguel arrives. They get into a fight, which Miguel wins. Furious, Andrés plots to get rid of his rival. In collaboration with an accomplice, he steals money from the landowner that Miguel had been entrusted to take to the train station for transport to another location. Miguel is blamed for the theft. However, those responsible fail to notice that two hacienda employees witnessed the crime. Their testimony allows the plot to be uncovered and the foreman's name to be cleared.

Lima was shaken in 1930 by a horrifying discovery: a suitcase abandoned in a room at the Hotel Comercio contained the dismembered remains of a man. Soon after, information began to emerge about the perpetrators of the crime and its macabre circumstances. The murderer was the Spaniard Jenaro Ortiz, a man who had acted in a film from his country, such as The Trial of Sister Maria—which premiered in Lima on October 8, 1930, due to the curiosity aroused by the criminal—who dismembered his victim in a room at the Hotel Comercio in Lima for financial reasons. The news became front-page news, and the imagination of Peruvians was captivated by the case from the very beginning.

The businessman, actor, and journalist Florentino Iglesias had worked as a film exhibitor in the provinces and as an entertainment reporter for several Lima newspapers. During the second half of the 1930s, he served as a film critic for the newspaper Universal and was an important figure at Cadelp, the publishing company that produced that newspaper and a newsreel in which Iglesias also participated. The Last Tear was Iglesias's first film experience, and he only managed to make one other feature film after that, Destiny Commands (1938).

We immediately saw the Nungensser-Coli on the screen landing at the Bolivian airfield and witnessed a bird's-eye view of the city of La Paz, with its avenues, churches, and the high hills that overlook it, their peaks eternally covered in snow. The preparations our pilots made to receive him; the aerial acrobatics some of them performed; the bay, La Punta, the southern beaches, and finally, the arrival of the famous Costes and Le Brix; everything passed before our eyes with a clarity and sharpness that left nothing to be desired.

It contains: the procession leaving the Lima Cathedral on September 19, 1920; the faithful occupying Santa Apolonia Street; the courts of honor preceding the platform; the Archbishop of Lima and the Metropolitan Chapter escorting the image; Our Lady of Victories; the procession entering the Plaza de Armas; distinguished ladies and young women surrounding the image of the Redeemer; aspects of the procession moments before the clash between those protesting the Divorce Law and its supporters; the procession completely covering the Plaza de Armas; the Archbishop of Lima. “The photograph is very clear, allowing the attendees to be perfectly identified.”

It contains: a polo match; the presentation of the Curtiss airplane to President Leguía by the workers of Morococha; the President responding in a speech to the gift from the workers of Morococha; the arrival of the airplane and the presentation of the pilot and the mechanic; the accident; the pilot after the accident; a football match between Lima Association and Chávez of Callao; at the racetrack on May 23.

Guillermo Garland filmed this comedy using his family as actors, as a bit of fun. Narrating the struggles of a young man from Lima to establish a family and gain wealth, Garland manages to articulate, on several levels, the city/countryside dichotomy, a dominant theme in Peruvian and Latin American cinema during those final years of the silent era. The film remained in the family home until, almost miraculously, while searching for possible fragments of the film, Mr. Héctor Garland—the director's grandson—found the second reel and two other negatives of a still-unidentified documentary. The film was preserved in 2003-2004.

Feature-length documentary divided into six acts.

The film was divided into three episodes set in different eras. The first featured scenes from the life of Saint Rose of Lima, “evoked by a lovely young lady from Lima, whose name we will keep secret.” These were recreations of the saint's life in the style of tableaux vivants. The second episode included documentary footage of a pilgrimage to the town of Santa Rosa de Quives, “with the presence of the Most Illustrious Archbishop of Lima on screen.” The third and final segment featured images filmed at the Quinta de Presa. These scenes depicted colonial festivities, with a profusion of figures in period costumes.

Divided into seven parts, entitled: “The Duck Canyon” (600 meters long); “From Lima to Ayacucho” (600 meters); “Sugar Industry in Casa Grande” (600 meters); “Cotton Industry in Cañete and Pampa del Imperial” (600 meters); “Grand Aerial Journey (Lima and Callao seen from an airplane)” (400 meters); “Guano” and “Mining in the Republic.” The first five parts were filmed by aviator Commander Dyot on October 26, 1925, and the other two on November 4.

Chenu, airship engine builder, and engineer Ramos, who pass their tests on the same day; in the clouds, at 500 meters altitude; descent after a 3-hour flight; congratulations to the astronaut; Chez Laurent on the Champs-Élysées; banquet organized in celebration of Peru's anniversary; Colonel Abril hosts the party; José Payán delivers a speech that excites the audience; Carlos Cáceres, a notable Peruvian baritone, sings the national anthem; Miguel Miró Quesada and two young ladies crown the glorious Bielo; departure of the audience; etc.
