BB King live in Africa 1974 In 1974, B.B. King brought the blues back to Africa. An audience of 80,000 came to Kinshasha for a three day music festival of America's Black and Latin legends for a "Rumble in the Jungle" Ali vs. Foreman in the fight of the century. The very air sizzled with excitement. Then B.B. filled the night with his raw power, searing energy, and heart-stopping emotion. This inspiring classic concert, shot by Academy Award winner Leon Gast (When We Were Kings), is by far one of B.B. King's greatest performances. Watch B.B. and Lucille burn up the stage. If you look closely you can see Ali in the audience of the show. Now this classic footage is available on DVD and an unforgettable night of music is lived again. Reluctant rock hero J.J. Cale takes the spotlight for this 80-minute session, recorded in Los Angeles in 1979 but virtually unseen until 2001. The reclusive, Oklahoma-born Cale is probably best known for writing songs made famous by others ("After Midnight" and "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton, "Call Me the Breeze" by Lynyrd Skynyrd). Those are among the some two dozen tunes heard here (five of which, including "Breeze," are audio-only bonus tracks), as is Cale's own minor hit, "Crazy Mama." The latter is a good example of the witty, laconic groove that Cale, a superb guitar player and laid-back vocalist, brings to much of his music, an appealing style that's been an obvious influence on Mark Knopfler and others.

50 Years of Rallying Five decades of rallying, from the early endurance and regularity tests of well-to-do but slightly bored aristocrats in the mid-fifties, via the first sprints on cordoned-off Scandinavian gravel roads with stars like Tom Trana or Erik Carlsson, to monstrous long distance races and today’s high-tech events in the dust. This movie tells it all over 90 gripping minutes, compiled largely from the archives of Austria’s legendary rally filmmaker, Helmut Deimel. The milestones of this spectacular journey through time are the groundbreaking cars, the great personalities, magnificent places, and the most wonderful moments of the sport. Using special features, Deimel spotlights the dynamism, the magic, the uniqueness of rallying. Interviews with the most important drivers and team bosses add colour and authenticity to the story – from enthusiasts’ intrepid adventures to the merciless sprints of today’s professionals. The movie was conceived and directed by Helmut Deimel.

"A Guide to Sexual Dissatisfaction" is a somewhat different cinematic experience. Perhaps it shouldn't even be called a film in the traditional sense, because what happens here in the cinema demands more from the audience than passive consumption. For the "guide" to work and unfold its full effect, the audience must participate.

This documentary, made over a period of eight years, tells the remarkable story of an extremely influential rock'n'roll band. Starting from their mid-60's garage band roots (sounding amazingly like the Sonics), the Motor City 5 deveoped into an icon for a brand of loud, crushing music reflecting their industrial roots. Even if you don't care for their music (and you're bound to like even a few of their songs), their story is fascinating. It combines 60's protest, youthful braggadocio, and a style of music that would help carry one to the likes of Iggy and the Stooges (not to mention certain aspects of punk rock). This film is clearly a labor of love, combining extraordinarily rare live shows, still shots, a nearly-continuous backdrop of MC5 tunes, penetrating interviews with the remaining members and their spouses, and even FBI surveillance shots. It's the ultimate testimonial to a band that only gains in stature as time goes on.

One thing we love in wakeboarding videos, is a video that has a unique style and original feel to it. That is "Boombox". Justin Stephens and Cadmium Productions spent some time with the Pointless Posse along with Scott Byerly and Gregg Necrason to put together a video that just flat out works! The music in Boombox was all done by one artist called MYG from Portland, Oregon, and the music is full of great beats that go well with wakeboarding, and would sound great coming out of any boombox. Each rider has a strong section featuring some of the latest and greatest tricks in wakeboarding, and much of the film was shot from unique helicopter angles.
