Filmed portrait of Bruce Baillie, a mythical figure from the northern Californian experimental film scene. Produced without a script or shooting schedule, the film lies somewhere between a home movie and documentary. It integrates chance and discontinuity, repeats the same sequences in loops, alternates between color and black and white, and is interspersed with frames that are empty, blurry, or reversed. The soundtrack consists of an improvised monologue by Bruce Baillie which unfolds without interruption, following his discontinuous flow of thought.

This documentary provides a detailed look at the works of the German artist, now best known for his collages and junk sculpture. Schwitters began painting as an expressionist, but in 1919 he turned to collage, incorporating into his works trash such as train tickets and newspapers, which he exploited for their colour, texture, and surprise value. Includes many of Schwitters' most famous creations filmed during an exhibition of his works at the George Pompidou Museum.

Miami-based artist Beatriz Monteavaro uses a variety of DIY filmmaking techniques to stage a battle royal between groups of “good” and “evil” characters in Friend or Foe. Superheroes and other toy action figures are used to act out the artist’s narrative to a pulsing musical soundtrack. Monteavaro’s fascination with the British 1980s pop star Adam Ant is represented through the presence of his action figure in one of the film’s lead roles. He is accompanied by toys including “Power Woman,” a Wonder Woman-like character who is a stand-in for the artist. In the battle between good and evil – one character even has “evil” written on its chest – it remains unclear who will ultimately prevail. Although it appears that “good” will triumph, there are indications that the battle will continue.

As early as July 1933, Hitler introduced a racial hygiene law calling for sterilization, forced abortions and the first exterminations, including the T4 program, of a number of disabled and deaf people. For the first time, a seven-year investigation is being carried out into the history of the Jewish deaf under Nazism. It began in 1993, with a debate organized at the Bagnolet library, which showed that the deaf, gagged by their inability to speak, were unable to testify. Numerous testimonies, interspersed with images of the places where sterilizations took place (Hadamar hospital, Berlin...) and the Auschwitz museum, support this discussion. Historians such as Horst Biesold, a specialist in the problem of the deaf under Nazism, break the silence, unmasking the perverse logic of the Nazi regime in terms of racial hygiene and the annihilation of the disabled, and denounce the crucial role played by doctors in this sinister process.

At the dawn of the 20th century, the fastest mode of transportation was the iron horse. Most people preferred to ride the flesh and blood variety on America's 144 miles of paved road. If God had wanted men to fly, he'd have given them wings. One American home in thirteen had a phone, one in seven sported a bathtub. A newfangled invention, radio, was sure to catch on one day. We wonder, how could so much happen in only a hundred years? The 20th century set the stage for the fulfillment of Bible prophecies that will soon come to their ultimate conclusion. How much time is left? What will happen? How will it all turn out? Join Hal Lindsey and Cliff Ford on a walk through the past and learn how it provides a blueprint into the future. The nightly news will never be the same again.

The film documents a group of underground conceptual artists and performance artists active in the folk art scene of Chengdu, China. It captures their process of engaging in underground art creation and organizing underground art exhibitions during the summer of 1999, the final summer of the 20th century. The summer of 1999 was a tumultuous period in Chinese politics. It marked the tenth anniversary of the Tiananmen Square incident in 1989, the outbreak of the "Falun Gong incident," and the moment when Taiwan's leader, Lee Teng-hui, made the "two-state theory" declaration, almost leading to a war between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. These underground artists used their creations to reflect their understanding and perspectives on Chinese history and contemporary society. However, their actions were constantly under official surveillance.

In the first part ("A Babysitter for a Boy"), the author plays with a literary character and a plot. In the second part ("Commentator for the Poet") The author plays with a fictional Poet (in turn, also with the author), who is portrayed by the Author-commentator. However, this Author is not the last in the hierarchy of similar characters.
