This satirical comedy gives a grotesque portrayal of social absurdities during the 1905 revolution in Russia. Somewhere in a remote province, the governor and the revolutionaries switch roles in order to pursue their selfish interests and conceal some serious "butter on their heads". Love affairs, fake assassination, lying as a way of existence, abuse of position, corruption and intrigue of the powerful - does this remind you of anything? If so, the resemblance is purely intentional.

"I was Hitler's slave" portrays Silesian-born Rudi Karmeinski, who was kidnapped at the age of 13 years with his father by the Nazis and forced to work in the IG Farben factory Auschwitz-Monowitz. His father was killed there. Karmeinski survived, emigrated to England and changed its name to Rudy Kennedy. The documentary follows Kennedy's five year fight for the compensation of forced laborers.

The past then mixes with the present, up to a third dimension that becomes a real character, in the finale: the decision made by the two will turn out to be unsuccessful and then, in order not to "die," the old men will build a perverse inner game capable of remedying every pain...

He had many admirers, but also made enemies in the Third Reich, who considered his work subversive and unacceptable. Marginalized by the Nazi government, he committed suicide in 1938. This documentary traces the tangled paths and multifaceted identity of a black Cuban family in the Bronx. The subjects of this film experienced firsthand some of the great historical events of the 20th century – they saw Castro’s arrival in Havana and had their neighborhood bombed in the Bay of Pigs invasion; one son fought in Vietnam and a daughter marched against it. Both working-class and professional, black and Latino, foreign and native, Spanish-speaking and English-speaking, the family is shown in the constant process of negotiating its identity. On their arrival in Miami, the family immediately encountered racial segregation, and as children in a mixed Puerto Rican/African-American neighborhood in the Bronx, they were forced by their playmates to choose their identity: “Are you black or Spanish?” Even the family’s roots in Cuba are complex - the grandfather was the son of Jamaican immigrants to Cuba – and their relation to the Cuban Revolution is ambiguous.
