Duncan and Scheimberg with no money, no time, no script, and with one barely working camera, have tried to create a poetic look at loneliness in America. And by poetic I mean desperate, sad, cruel, and funny and by loneliness, I mean total self-absorption and rampant solipsism, and by America, I mean, everywhere. People will, more than likely, not relate to this film. They will feel infinitely superior to the trashy losers, mama’s boys, and genuinely evil mind-fuckers that populate this film. So… that’s something. It’s a start… Right?

"Bibi Calderaro invented the fishing machine. She designed a series of reins that support a Super 8 film camera, put it as a hook in a fishing rod and threw it to the Hudson River in the middle of Manhattan. [...] What is most curious is not the proceedings but the circumstances. Such a strange idea: to try finding an image in the center of a city that is an arsenal of images; to practice a displacement of thousands of miles - Buenos Aires/New York - just to end up looking for a maternal uterus in which to find shelter; to use an instrument of such extreme precision such as a camera and subject it to the chances of destiny." Documentary about the Amsterdam punk scene in the 1980's. As a boy of thirteen, the filmmaker Alfred B. Broer (1966) threw off the yoke of his strict Protestant family and turned into a punk rocker. At that time - in the later seventies - the Amsterdam rock temple Paradiso was the venue where he met with other youths from very different backgrounds. The Punk scene rebelled against everything that had been established in clothing and behaviour, with a bent towards self-destruction and music as binding elements. From 1980 onwards, the Amsterdam photographer Max Natkiel photographed the young visitors to Paradiso and recorded this in Paradiso Stills. This album motivated Broer's search for his former friends. Interviews, old video footage and the photos from the album form the quest for the short and sharp friendships of the past. What did Punk have to offer them? And what happened to the friends?

Experience the drama and spectacle of the mega military reenactment of the 20th Century. Twenty thousand living historians from across the United States and around the world converged on the Nancy Bushey Farm near Gettysburg, to commemorate the bravery, honor and sacrifice of our ancestors. With the introduction by Patrick Falci (Historical Advisor to Director Ron Maxwell, and Author Jeff Shaara), this video documents the planning, production and execution of the reenactment. Included are the key phases of the Battle of Gettysburg—the armies “First Contact” on July 1, 1863; the struggle in the Rose Woods; through “The Wheatfield”, into the “Valley of Death”, up “Little Round Top” and “Culp’s Hill” during the second day, and an epic, full-scale recreation of “Picket’s Charge”. The action is described by the reenactment commanders and coordinators, featuring their insight into the battle.

"I capture little chosen moments. I snatch them from the subject and the subject is me. I speak in an off-hand manner. I catch floating moments on a nice body of water. My work has something specific about it : it suits me. I can sing, waddle about, and say things. A woman sitting any place is already something. It's usually elegant if you don't mind crossing your legs. Mine are crossed."

The Jawi are an ethnic minority group living in the southeastern provinces of Thailand. Descending from the famous Patani sultanate which was annexed by Siam in the twentieth century, this rural people of Islamic faith carry on the traditional Malaysian culture. What makes them particular is the importance they give to a local variety of zebra dove (Geopelia striata), called the Burông Tité. The Jawi prize the quality and beauty of its singing so much that their admiration for it reaches almost a cult status. They raise and train the doves for song contests. The winning birds bring their owners not only social prestige, but sometimes quite a substantial fortune, as their value can mount up to tens of thousands of euros. The film unveils the secrets of raising and preparing the doves for the singing contests. And through this, we discover the life and culture of this Malay minority.

The documentary follows the two brothers in their daily lives, in their relationship with the other children in the institution and their teachers. The film has the form of a short story. The dramaturgical structure of this story of “the minimum” is inspired by the in-depth observation of everyday events and their orchestration into an “other reality” through editing.
