However, soon his disco spot is under threat from the legendary Japanese monster Godzilla. Lobot sends an urgent distress call, and soon Lando and the Rebel Alliance in their Y-Wings has assembled to battle the giant mutant. Lando is in charge along with Obi Wan Kenobi. In essence, this film is an analysis of the spiraling consciousness of a dying man. His delirious memories of events past, and possibly future, are spun into a cascade of abstract and twisted glimpses. The haunting imagery and disturbing sound is matched only by its fearless brand of unremitting narrative. Hold your breath for four and a half minutes. For the director this film was a cathartic exercise, influenced by both the death of his father, and a Salvador Dali painting of the same name.

June 1904: What had started out as a cheerful event, the annual outing of the Lutheran Church in East Village, ended in a terrible disaster. Nearly 1100 people, mainly women and children perished when the excursion boat General Slocum went on fire and sank – within sight of thousands of New Yorkers who watched helplessly on the shores of the East River. It became clear quite soon that not a single fire drill had been carried out since the ship had entered services. This was only to be the tip of the iceberg: With interviews, photos, archival footage and visits to the actual locations we will recount the event in which an entire Manhattan neighbourhood was wiped out and shine light on the political scandal which rocked New York in the wake of the „Slocum Disaster“ – eight years before the Titanic sank.

It was a French prelate who commissioned the decoration of the Contarelli Chapel in the Church of Saint Louis of the French in Rome, dedicated to his patron saint, Matthew. But he died long before he could know that the result would be three paintings, executed with astonishing speed around 1600 by a young Lombard painter known as Caravaggio, who was thereby creating his first religious cycle. The faithful enter between two large canvases facing one another: The Calling and The Martyrdom of Saint Matthew. On the high altar is a third, smaller work: Saint Matthew and the Angel. Three episodes intended to edify the Catholic conscience of the French pilgrim and to inspire emulation through the power of the image, in accordance with the principles of the Counter-Reformation during this era of religious wars.

A square format market by the rhythms of its many obliques (the frame of the glass window, the guardrail in the foreground) and its brilliant colours (ultramarine, emerald, orange, pink and the bright yellow of the mimosa), L'Atelier is one of Bonnard's last great paintings. It is also one of his masterpieces, magnificient and enigmatic, meriting in itself a detailed analysis.

The camera strolls "between tents and trailers, among all these humble people, as simple as their preoccupations. Old and young who all have dreamt, at some point in their lives, of leaving for some unreachable place with palm-trees. They were all born in Nord-Pas-de-Calais and have been coming to Bray-Dunes since they were little. People here play bowls, bet on horses or talk about work. Unemployment is lurking. Misery is there. And nostalgia too ". (G DUPUY, "L' Express" N° 2452)

The impunity for the crimes committed in Argentina during the last military dictatorship (1976-1983) motivated the direct victims of the repression and various human rights movements and legal experts to file a popular accusation against the military officers who directed and carried out the brutal repression: 30,000 disappeared, children kidnapped from their parents, and millions stolen from the victims. The complaint filed before the Central Court of Instruction No. 5 of Madrid by the Progressive Union of Prosecutors found support in Judge Baltasar Garzón, who opened Case 19/97 Against Genocide and State Terrorism in Argentina, 1976-1983.
