Two very closely related species of sifaka are compared in this video in order to provide some detailed information about their behavior. The diademmed sifaka is very rare and has only recently been brought into captivity. This footage taken in its natural habitat is currently the only available material showing it in the wild. This species is compared with verreauxi's sifaka which is much more common and frequently filmed animals. Comparisons between these two similar species increase our understanding of the adaptive strategies of this type of lemur which is one of the largest remaining forms. Theverreauxi's sifaka is highly adapted to dry conditions and is shown feeding, locomoting and defending its territory from an incoming group. The pacing of this video is slow to allow the observer time to really look at this unusual animal and its highly unusual form of locomotion, which is vertical clinging and leaping between trees and bipedal dancing on the ground.

A highly evocative fable of the flaws of human ambition. It starts with a stormy debate between a man and his conscience. Torn between a rational approach and his desire to go his own way, he finally sets out on a initiatory journey that will end on a desert island. To see into the distance, he builds a lighthouse that will become his ivory tower, while the sea around him becomes the repository of his fantasies of wealth, love and glory. The Lighthouse is a visual feast. A wealth of technical and artistic inventiveness enriches the storyline. An animated film without words.

Give it your all, give it your best, give it your courage. Akane is withdrawn and unable to communicate well with others. She is looking for a job, but can't find one, and her younger brother, who lives with her, lectures her about it. Her hobby is to go for walks in the morning when the town is deserted. One snowy morning, Akane sees a man carrying a red TV and follows him to the rubbish dump. Akane is fascinated by the man's unique atmosphere, and takes the TV home with her. She dismantles the TV and makes a snail object from its parts. The next day, Akane is trying to return the TV with the snail hidden in it, when she is spotted by the man. She rushes to turn back, but decides to hand over the TV to the man. The town is covered with snow and is very quiet, and the protagonist never speaks. This is the director's way of reading the beauty in things that are often overlooked, and it leads effectively to the ending, in which the protagonist steps forward to communicate.

As I indulge in a virtual conversation about a troublesome relationship, the session instantly becomes an amalgamation of daytime television and tabloid, wherein the surveillance camera becomes the eye of the media."

In the 1920s, a Kavalan family took refuge in Hualien. 70 years later, the filmmaker, a third-generation member of the family, embarked on a self-searching journey to recover his lost identity, producing the first documentary ever made by a Pingpu descendant. Through depiction of traditional Kavalan ceremonies and collective memories, the film asks us to recognise Pingpu peoples’ place in Taiwanese history, as well as their suffering and feelings of inferiority during years of forced migration.

Cho continues his examination of identity within an urban environment, envisioning the frenetic dissonance of an urban landscape that is at once alienating and poetic. Cho's aggressive observation of pedestrian traffic is portrayed with a blurred and highly saturated aesthetic. A candle's flame methodically waves back and forth, suggesting the private time within the accelerated urban experience.

Baltasar Brum is a town of three thousand souls in the department of Artigas. In 1986 the train station was closed down and the community was in danger of disappearing altogether, but today it is still there and in fact it is growing. The local samba “schools”, which are similar to these organizations in Brazil except that they speak Spanish, tell the story of the town and its outstanding figures against a background of local and more universal events. The documentary shows how carnival is celebrated in this Uruguayan border town.

Olga Sergeevna, along with her son Oleg and his army friend Sergei, first came to Amsterdam in 1991 and spent several summer months visiting director Lili van den Berg. Thus, Lily van den Berg got a unique opportunity to observe their acquaintance with Western society and decided to capture it on film. No one suspected that in a year Olga would lose her life in this city. On July 26, 1992, on the third anniversary of her husband's death, Olga's body was found in a canal in Amsterdam. Her sudden death forced the director to look at the footage in reverse perspective.

This film is animated in the rough collage style that James MacSwain has made his own. Utilizing a series of vignettes, the film traces the story of the child born to Marilyn Monroe and President Kennedy. As the satire unfolds, the story becomes a metaphor for the collapse of the American Empire due to mysticism and drugs.

What I Remember is a melancholy recollection of two stories of first love. The narrator relates two anecdotes from her youth, seemingly unrelated, but linked by both their sweetness and tragedy. What does she remember about first love? Awkwardness, embarrassment, secrecy, and abandon. The moral of the story? Once you fall hard, you better duck.
