And no neighborhood, not even your is immune. It's time you took a closer look at the real Street of Pain. Difficult to watch? Yes... it's even inappropriate for younger views. Hard to believe? At times. But, this is the painful life on the streets of America.

Johnny Boy, a psychotic young Chicago playwright, drives to New York to run down a phantom deal. Along for the ride are a drug dealing buddy named Aristotle and Johnny Boy's self-destructive sometimes girlfriend Anita. They hit the road and the road hits back. The drug-fueled all night drive devolves into sadistic mind games, sex games and finally violence. They don't all make it back to Chicago, but they all reach the end of the road.

Karel Gott's concert is undoubtedly part of the Christmas tradition on Czech Television. The broadcast recording took place, as usual, at Lucerna in Prague on December 8 and 9 as part of the "Christmas Concerts – Karel Gott 1996" tour. Songs from the album "Zázrak vánoční" (Christmas Miracle) and the CD "Belcanto" were performed, as well as the ever-popular older hits and lovely guests invited by K. Gott to his program – Marta Kubišová, Petra Janů, Ilona Csáková, and Leona Machálková. The performances were accompanied by two orchestras – Karel Gott's Orchestra, conducted by M. Talián, and the Czech Christmas Symphony Orchestra, conducted by F. Preisler. And what would Christmas be without Christmas songs and carols? Of course, Karel Gott did not forget about them either. They will be the traditional highlight of the entire program, which will certainly contribute to the Christmas atmosphere in your home.

"I first met Nathan Zach twice" - these words open David Perlov's film on the poet, to whom he was tied by a 40 year long friendship. Gradually, at a delicate pace, Perlov develops an intimate dialogue with Zach. The camera rarely leaves the poet's expressive face, while his heart slowly opens up. Zach recites his poems, tells of his poverty stricken childhood in Haifa and of the death of his mother, hints at his secrets and weaknesses, laughs, sings and remembers. Perlov shows Zach frolicking with pet-animals - a parrot, two dogs, and even an eagle: "For me, the communication with them is much easier than with humans", he says. There is also a meeting with the friend and poet Daliah Rabikowitz. With simple, moving and emphatic means, Perlov creates a lucid portrait of one of Israel's greatest poets.

This mock virtual environment is a playground for the imagination. Equipped with helmet, goggles, and a basic understanding of early video game strategies, the artist morphs into an adventureland training camp where she meets with media icons and common ground. She fearlessly changes her intensity and velocity in unison with, and at times under the command of, rival action-heroes and network sponsors. The title implies that there are bugs in the program, undetected viruses in the system. This video performance parallels the heightened sense of anxiety synonymous with computer games, amplifying a "fear of contamination" to a level that borders on insanity.
