There are estimated to be some 6 million children in South Africa without access to preschool education and care facilities. This video focuses on some of them and, through them, highlights some of the issues. Filmed in Khayelitsha, Bellville South, Maitland and the Willows, Lebowa, it depicts their home environment and the communities in which they grow up. The children themselves provide much of the information, with additional comments from friends and relatives. Fathers are conspicuous by their absence, which would seem to be one of the main problems, others being the lack of adequate care, education, food, safety and the impact of violence on their lives. At the same time the program reveals the children's resourcefulness when it comes to games, with some most original songs and chants coming from the Cape Flats.

Over twenty-five years ago, California artist Hobart Brown founded the first-ever kinetic sculpture race. From its modest beginnings as a whimsical parade of Dr. Seuss contraptions, the race has grown to become the Triathlon of the Art World - a 38-mile test of creativity, ingenuity and the outer limits of the human spirit. "IT'LL HAVE BLINKING EYES AND A MOVING MOUTH" is a tribute to Hobart Brown and other veteran racers who have not only sculpted magical vehicles, but also magical lives! Part character study and part road rally, the film is a kinetic slice of life about love, art, machines and the artists who pedal them. Alternately funny and poignant, this charming documentary will have you dreaming of your own machine and maybe..."It'll Have Blinking Eyes and a Moving Mouth!"

I once had a lover who would occasionally transform into a dog — and not even a purebred. Instead, some patchwork mutt of scrappy fur — but not without charm, not without beauty. It happened when I rubbed his prostate a certain way, and then I'd be trapped, I wouldn't be able to pull out. So I'd have to finish fucking him and after a few minutes I'd be released from his butt. Then I'd be really tired, I'd want to take a nap, but he'd want to play so I'd give him a biscuit and take him out for a walk. We'd go to the park and roll down green hills. I'd rub his belly and everyone who passed would rub his belly. They'd say, "Oh what a nice looking dog you have, what a charming mutt."

"Ei, wie jeht ...' still rings in my ears when my father starts to talk about the past. His humorous stories in the circle of friends and the trip with a group of older East Prussians in 1988 to Treuburg, Lyck and Gdansk form the basis of this film" says Denzer about the film about his father, the graduate engineer Kurt Denzer, who was born in 1906 as the seventh child of the landowner Wilhelm Denzer on the parental estate Kukowken. He attended the one-class village school in Kukowken and the grammar schools in Lyck and Königsberg. He graduated from the Technical University of Gdansk with a degree in engineering. From 1937 he was employed as a construction foreman at Strabag Bau-AG Berlin for the construction of freeways and airfields. From 1957 he was a lecturer at the engineering school in Lage/Lippe and later co-founder of the Lippe University of Applied Sciences. He and his wife Lilly died in Detmold in November 2001.
