Defiantly humorous in its tone, Delirium reflects Faber’s mother’s personal experience with what has been classified as “female hysteria.” While never reducing her mother’s condition to a single explanation, Delirium firmly and convincingly links her illness to the historically embattled position women hold in a patriarchal culture. The video layers haunting imagery and humorous iconoclasm, referencing everything from television episodes of I Love Lucy to Charcot’s 19th Century photos of female hysterics. Delirium contends that female mental illness must be understood within the political/social arena, and that in many instances women’s reactions of violence, anger, and depression are indeed sane reactions to abhorrent situations.

ME/WE, OKAY, and GRAY consists of a short three-episode film and a 3-monitor installation. The installation is intended for showing in museums and galleries, and the episodes of the film version in cinemas among trailers and between the adverts on television. ME/WE is about balancing individual identity and about control. In an absurd episode a nuclear family of four is in the backyard hanging out white sheets to dry. The story is told via a monologue by the father. He mirrors himself and his life in the members of his family, seeing himself at moments when he recognises differences and similarities. Darkness falls – the sheets glow in the night like blank white screens. The father directs his words to viewers. His voice also speaks the other characters’ lines, with the others opening and closing their mouths in the appropriate rhythms. Who in the end is speaking, what is an individual and where are the boundaries of the self?

This video dance project is a sort of condensed poetical and cynical look on the situation in the ex-Yugoslav territory. Hysterical and hectic dance movements are put in juxtaposition with surrealistic artificially constructed imageries, based on Magritte's paintings and documentary shoots of the refugee camps, where Bosnian refugees lived in Ljubljana.

What is a Jew? Is it a person who practices the Jewish religion, is it one that belongs to the Jewish people or is it both? This film examines the key aspects of the Jewish religion and doctrine, Tora and Talmud. It tells about Jewish traditions and festivals, about worship, Sabbath and on Jewish eating rules and kosher food. The film also discusses Jewish history and stories of the first Jews who came to Norway, about pogroms and anti-Semitism and how the Jewish people have managed to preserve their traditions and cultural identity over thousands of years. Norwegian Jewish youngsters tell how they feel to belong to a minority and what is important to them today as Jews.

Blues guitarist Walter Trout performs live in Germany during his 1993 solo tour. Trout has performed as a member of Canned Heat and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and toured with greats like John Lee Hooker and Big Mama Thornton. Songs include "I Can Tell," "Take Care of Your Business," "Life in the Jungle," "Frederica (I Don't Need You)," "Running Blues," "Finally Gotten Over You," "Victor the Cajun" and "Prisoner of a Dream."

This popular British animated series created and directed by Tony Garth proves that "Little Monsters" can get into trouble almost anywhere -- even at school. After all, school is a place for learning, and they've got plenty of learning to do! These episodes find Shy Sophie trying to dodge the limelight; Dirty Dermot fighting his Aunt Clara about taking a bath; and Sickly Simon playing his favorite role: hypochondriac.

In 1985, the administrators of St. Augustine's, a poor Catholic school in the South Bronx where many children were failing miserably at basic academics, tried a new approach. They revamped the curriculum to stress the arts, particularly music. The kids lifted up their instruments and, eventually, their test scores, too. This infectious, inspiring musical documentary by Emma Joan Morris won three awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

A man receives a mysterious golden egg - and then it hatches...

The second instalment in this yakuza action series features a completely revamped cast. Ryo, a former juvenile detention centre inmate, and Hitomi, a graduate of a prestigious university. Although their backgrounds differed, they were both members of the Arisugawa-gumi and inseparable friends. The film depicts their friendship against the backdrop of a turf war with a rival organisation.

Recorded during the early 1990s and released on VHS by Benson Records, I Choose Joy features Harris performing signature worship anthems and heartfelt ballads that encourage viewers to embrace joy through life’s challenges. The concert’s intimate production and reflective tone capture Harris at his spiritual and vocal peak, blending studio‑quality arrangements with live‑performance warmth.

No artefact found in the anthropology section of a museum was ever created to lie locked in a glass case, gazed on by people lacking any cultural connection with it. Using 2D, model and photo animation, Chris Elliott questions what the display of such artefacts, far from their home and context (in this case the rainforest), is all about and suggests that we are wilfully blind to the kind of cultural and religious violence that is at the root of such misappropriation.

The documentary was produced by Magic Video Productions, a JTPA-sponsored video company employing Southeast Asian high school students in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

A South Korean woman who has worked in German hospitals for many years returns to her homeland and follows the shamanic ceremonies of her childhood. A film poem about the ritual dissolution of resentment and grief, as still practiced in South Korean industrial society.

Two identical hotel rooms, two phone conversations, a single door and a single point of view from which all these glimpses of days in the lives of two strangers are captured: a man in transit through an unidentified provincial town (we only get to know that it's somwehere in the mountains) and a woman who came from far away to seek a better life, who makes love for money every night. The film's visual minimalism, the elliptic, fragmented narrative structure, the lack of a clearly-articulated theme turn this experiment into an early exemplar of a certain type of modernism, which would reach its peak in Romania only two decades later.

Physical sadism abounds.
