Now retired and widowed, Mrs Hegarty lives alone in a Sydney western suburb. She is a devout Catholic and bowls at Ashfield Lawn Bowling Club. Mrs Hegarty expressed a desire to visit Japan and Yuki saw this as an opportunity to right some wrongs. She is unsettled by the triviality of her life and unsettles others through her beauty, and her will to push everything to its extreme. She fears not the desert, not the wind, nothing. Her thirst lies elsewhere: to leave the desert, which she hates, and in which she is kept against her will. She wanders the empty streets in her limousine, killing time on the phone, provoking strangers. This was Carolina Lopez Caballero's graduation film at Farnham (now Surrey Institute of Art and Design), but has a strength and confidence of vision which is unusual in student work. The film tells a dreamlike story of a king who is attracted to the singing of a mysterious woman. He is disappointed when she turns out to have the head and neck of a swan and finds it difficult to fit into her new role as Queen.

A lonely man cries, a lonely woman laughs. A young salaryman is fed up with the mundane but secure life he leads and goes AWOL from work. On a whim, he calls Noriko, a woman he once played with, and goes to take care of her in bed with a cold. Noriko is cheerful and innocent, and he begins to tell her about his daily frustrations and his dissatisfaction with society, which he has not even told his wife... Director Sugiura has put a lot of effort into creating appealing characters in this film. The film uses elaborate dialogue and UFO catchers to portray the sense of discomfort that most people today feel at one time or another, that even if they have no clear grievances, they will be taken in by society and become boring salarymen.

Yuko, a female friend who had an abortion, left for the south after the man she had been having an affair with committed suicide. In addition, her sister, who has escaped from the hospital, jumps into a train right in front of Sumiko. On television, they report the abnormal breeding of fireflies. In desperation, Sumiko takes the train to the home of the fireflies.
The film is a naturalistic portrayal of the temperament of a single woman of today. The film is a real love story about the life of a single woman. The use of props such as a credit card and an answering machine in an unreasonable setting shines through in the scenario.
The film is a documentary-style drama about the search for OGATA, a friend from the film club at university who disappeared before graduation and is now missing. Carrying a video camera, the protagonist visits his old friends to find out what happened to OGATA. It seems as if his purpose is to go around declaring that he is looking for OGATA (who everyone wants to see). His friends are disgusted and tell him to "grow up". Eventually, the protagonist finds out that OGATA is in Kyushu and goes to see him with his camera. Seeing him for the first time in a long time, OGATA begins to talk about the reasons for his disappearance and his current life. This is a story of self-discovery through the act of searching for a friend. The film is as close to a documentary as possible, but it skillfully approaches the psychological structure of the protagonist, a moratorium man.
A surreal puppet animation about one day in the life of an old man. The story takes place in the house where the old man lives. When the old man gets out of the bath and goes down the spiral staircase, a young man in a bathrobe suddenly appears, ranting loudly about something. Surprised, the old man goes after him and finds the young man in the cellar struggling with another man. The man's head falls and rolls. From then on, a dizzying world of images unfolds in rapid succession, the space becomes cosmic, and various objects begin to float. As the artist himself says, "I created this work as a single image", and it is perhaps best to let the flow of images unfold in front of you, rather than trying to read some kind of narrative. The dolls are grotesquely detailed, the sets like works of art. The props and objects have a natural texture. It is a work of such a high standard that anyone who hears that it took three years to make will nod their head in agreement.
