Prometheus Bound (Ancient Greek: Προμηθεὺς Δεσμώτης, romanized: Promētheús Desmṓtēs) is an ancient Greek tragedy traditionally attributed to Aeschylus and thought to have been composed sometime between 479 BC and the terminus ante quem of 424 BC. The tragedy is based on the myth of Prometheus, a Titan who defies Zeus, and protects and gives fire to mankind, for which he is subjected to the wrath of Zeus and punished.

A military base south of Iran has been attacked by the Iraqi air force. Among the wounded is a volunteer called Abdolali Safari. When he's injured, the doctors realize the shrapnel in his leg is larger than normal, and it soon turns out to be a cluster bomb. The matter of defusing the bomb inside Abdolali divides the surgeons of the hospital.

Each song from the original EP is presented with live concert snippets and photoshoot scenes. The film also features a bunch of live videos after the ending credits roll, all in a very bootleg-ish sonic quality. They seem to be from the same footage used on 1992年6月22日 インクスティック.スズエ. (at least, the same tour), but the snippets here are generally longer or different from the other tape.

The film takes the form of an ecorchee: an anatomical drawing in which the outer layer of skin is pulled back to reveal an embryo. Images flicker and pages are turned creating an unfolding of layers in time. The film is entirely hand processed.

Filmed during an artist residency in New York, 'On the Threshold of Liberty' is a poetic image/word montage deconstructing the relationship between self, language and image. Close-up shots of a woman smoking, a television screen and other scenes are accompanied by an intimate voice over: "Maybe the moment of the split will reproduce itself endlessly. Maybe the moment of the split never existed. Maybe the moment of the split will dissolve into light." Heidi Tikka questions the Freudian notion of the split subject by replacing it with her vision of an endlessly layered, multiple and rhythmic process. On the Threshold of Liberty is greatly philosophical but also explicitly sensual, operating on the affective, rather than cognitive level.

Canaries were used by miners to alert them to the presence of poisonous gases underground. If a canary died, they knew the air was bad. This film is about human canaries - some of the first victims of a newly recognised and devastating illness emerging in America. People are being poisoned by some of the 60,000 chemicals in everyday use. A group of chemically ill people have found refuge in unusual homes in the clean air of the small Texan town of Wimberley - with painful and bizarre results.

Wealthy and mysterious Douglas Fir employs five beautiful lady private detectives for his Adorable Flower Outfit agency. When a missing person, Daisy, starts to appear in appaling porno films with no sex or nudity, old friend Bruce imposes on Douglas and his girls to find her. The Flowers must go undercover as hookers, biker chicks and top models in order to locate Daisy who is being held captive at "The Ranch" by two mad women filmmakers named Elizabeth Taylor and Edith Bunker. When the case is closed, the girls celebrate in a joyous dance as they sing "We girls can do anything!"

Heat and moisture can puncture and create cracks in solid pipes, and depict the emotion of accepting nature. The inside of the pipe is said to reach temperatures of several thousand degrees. This also burns the roots of the hard heather that the pipe is made of. Also, grease accumulates inside the pipe, absorbing water and creating cracks. The music used was recorded from shortwave broadcasts.

In 1932 this was the last attempt by intellectuals (like Albert Einstein, Käthe Kollwitz, Heinrich Mann and others) to prevent the takeover of power by Hitler in Germany. Gustav Heckmann was later a friend of both Max Born and Werner Heisenberg.

The third film of documentary trilogy «Black Candle of the Bright Road. In memory of Vasyl Stus» covers the events from the return from Kolyma in 1979 to the reburial on November 19, 1989. Interviews with the last cellmate of the writer Leonid Borodin, former political prisoners Vasyl Ovsienko, Levko Lukyanenko provide an opportunity to recreate the last episodes of Vasyl Stus's life: the conflict with Romashov, a fictional report about Stus's behavior in the cell, his emotional explosion due to slander, the announcement of a hunger strike, solitary confinement, night from September 3 to 4, 1985.

It tweaks received values which may underlie assumptions and prejudices about what is and isn’t appropriate in intimate relationships. A poignant score by Cathy Nosaty combined with still imagery, live video and computer reconstruction allows an exploration of both human desire and desire’s function in a search for social unity.

Maya is a single woman, approaching 30. Her intrusive mother sets her up with a doctor and sends her money every week to use on therapy. The date with the doc is a bust, but Maya gets an idea: instead of using mom's money on therapy, why not take dance lessons? There she meets Sascha, a terrific dancer with a winsome, open spirit. Maya finds herself contriving to talk to Sascha at every opportunity. Soon, Maya knows that in dance, and perhaps in Sascha, she has found herself.

"The Blue Danube" Waltz isn't bad either and "The Radetzky March" (by Johann Sr.) is hard to beat for clap-along fun. Suggested recording: Again, there are many recordings of these works available, but you can't be without the DVD of Carlos Kleiber conducting the Vienna Philharmonic on New Year's Day 1992 on Philips.

"The Law of Remains" is a blood-soaked pageant of contemporary Grand Guignol depicting mass murder, sexual mutilation, necrophilia and cannibalism simulated by actors portraying the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (named Jeffrey Snarling in the script) and Andy Warhol and his entourage. The work is divided into seven scenes, scattered over two floors of the hotel, that are intended to trace the soul's journey as described in the Egyptian Book of the Dead.

Kahoʻolawe Aloha ʻĀina focuses on the cultural, political and military significance of the "target island" of Kaho‘olawe in the Hawaiian archipelago.

SPLASH is a fable-like tale of memory and emotion. Using a range of techniques, it deftly explores the interplay between identity, fantasy, gender, homosexual desire and pre-adolescence. These forces are but narrowly defined masculinity--particularly Black masculinity.

The film begins at a village Accha Rao (Rajendra Prasad) an innocent craven leads a rejoicing life. He acquires a constable job, proceeds to take charge where the Station S.I. (Vallabhaneni Janardhan) is malicious. Here, their Head Constable (P. L. Narayana) endears Accha Rao's amiable nature, gives him shelter and his daughter Seeta (Kanaka) loves Accha Rao. Meanwhile, a new scheme commences in the town by a company to sell household goods at the lowest prices. The company agent Peter (Sai Kumar) collects huge amounts as advance from the public. Thereupon, the Company turns fraudulent and the Proprietor's son tries to escape with the money when Peter restricts his way. In that quarrel, accidentally, he dies in the hands of Peter when S.I. takes him into custody and tortures terribly.

A stark and uncompromising portrayal of the escalation of xenophobic sentiment in a neo-conservative climate. Beth B refuses to preach and, by extension, to divide. The work trusts the ambiguity of art, rather than to assume a condescending position of knowledgeable correctness from which moral superiority might be inferred.
