A nerd is harassed by punks, and is the object of ridicule at work. Enamoured by a co-worker, he buys a tape series on how to be cool, summons up his nerve, and goes to the co-worker's house, only to find her in the clutches of another co-worker. Dejected, he goes out on the town and parties with some babes, but when their friends, who turn out to be the same punks that harassed him earlier, trash him again something snaps, and the irritants in his life begin experiencing an attrition problem.

Paulette, Jean-Christophe's mother, talks too much; after ten years of struggle Jean-Christophe notices that Paulette talks less, but one night he sees his mother's dentures in a tooth glass. Kind friends explain to him that Paulette has passed from the oral stage to the sadistic oral stage. The mother shows her teeth, I love you, I crunch you, it's sure death...

The second film in the series about Latvian regional folk costumes – they are made and demonstrated by "five Vidzeme regional zeltenes", students of the Riga School of Applied Arts Kristīne Andersone, Baiba Biteniece, Maija Blasāne, Austra Celmiņa, Mārīte Stepiņa. In the spirit of Easter, the film shows the wreaths of Cesvaine, Lielvārde, Piebalga, Krustpils and Ziemeļvidzeme, embroidered shirts, the "holy tree" honorary sash, the magnificent Lielvārde blouse with six types of embroidery patterns, and other amazing handicrafts. Folk craft master Maruta Grasmane served as a consultant.

Souvenance is the film adaptation of a Haitian myth: the resurrection of the brutal revolutionary Emperor Jacques I of Haiti (Jean-Jacques Dessalines), who declared Haiti as an independent Empire in 1804, and who was assassinated in 1806.

This is a work I created in 1991 as an attempt to become a "master" on "Yuji Miyake's Shrimp-Bending Master Heaven." Unfortunately, the show ended before I could take on the challenge. It was a fun year that taught me the obvious truth: the meaning of a work lies not in leaving it as it is, but in showing it to an audience. I'm grateful to all the staff and performers.

A CCTV-commissioned, 8-part series shot between 1988 and 1990, but barred from being released after the events of June 4th. A production of the Structure, Wave, Youth, Cinema (SWYC) Experimental Group, an informal collective of young filmmakers founded in the summer of 1989 and devoted to the production of documentaries, that includes: this series' two directors, Shi Jian and Chen Jue, as well as Beijing TV's Wang Zijun, and this series' screenwriter, Kuang Yang (under the name Guang Yi). Tiananmen documents various aspects of life surrounding the Square: survivors of the imperial era, street performers, fledgling entrepreneurs, fashion school students, foreigners marrying Chinese nationals, and so forth. Each episode starts with a close-up of a giant portrait of Mao hung over the Square, and proceeds as a hybrid of archival footage, direct cinema, and cinema verité, weaving a permanent dialectic between the present and the past, daily life and history.

On top of that, it was accompanied by a colonialist commentary said by a sports reporter! One night they knock on his door and it was Jenny all beaten up asking him for accommodation, then he finds out that Carlos is involved in shady business and decides to take revenge by unleashing a crazy comedy.

From the Potsdamer Platz to the Brandenburg Gate, the camera captures the historic events from all sides and different angles: on the one hand there are news reporters and tourists from all over the world taking pictures, children selling pieces of the wall to passers-by, and people celebrating New Year's Eve, on the other we see abandoned subway stations and officials with blank looks on their faces.
