A documentary foray into the world of the unattached which takes a look at the best and worst of the singles lifestyle.

Claude Lebet, luthier, had originally wanted to be a parson, like his father before him. However, after one year in theological school, he left to study violin making in Cremona, Italy. Later, he returned to Switzerland, where he founded his workshop at La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Jura mountains. The "Musici di Roma" launched his career by buying the first violin he made, then helping him acquire his house. For Lebet, a violin takes a month and a half to make, and requires the smoothest maple and spruce, which he selects himself, along with the finest shellacs. In the film, we watch as he makes a violin for a musician who comes to try it out and to choose from various woods. It takes but six weeks for Lebet to fashion the violin, but the relationship of musician and luthier lasts a lifetime.

This is a feminist horror anthology, in which the beautiful bleach-blonde Stephanie Spencer fields a series of crude remarks from belching, T-shirt-wearing, pickup-driving character actors, then watches them die in grisly blood-spurting closeups after being visited by zombies, so that in the big final story of the video, she can dress up in black lingerie, tie her weenie boyfriend to the bed, and summon a demon into her body, if you know what I mean and I think you do. But the best story on the tape, "Too Much TV," stars Lisa Hatter as a girl who watches a slasher-movie host on cable all day, figuring out ways to kill her sarcastic mother Sonja Etzel, while we watch B-movie parodies like "Don't Go Into the Kitchen," "Bathroom Bullies," "Pretty Girl Floyd," "Nursing Home Revenge," and "Missouri Mop Massacre."

This documentary provides a nostalgic and insightful look at Hollywood's on- and off-screen efforts at promoting wartime patriotism during the years 1941-1945. Hosted by actor Van Johnson, the film includes movie clips, newsreel footage and interviews with stars of that halcyon era such as Vivian Blaine, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Roddy McDowall, Jackie Cooper, Gloria DeHaven and Tony Randall.

An international expedition led by French mountaineer Benoit Chamoux reached the summit of Annapurna (8091 m) on Tuesday, May 10, 1988, via its south face, one of the most difficult routes in the Himalayas. The expedition, named "L'Esprit d'Equipe" (The Spirit of Team), financed by the computer company Bull (Chamoux thus secured one of the largest contracts in the history of mountaineering: twenty million francs to carry out his project), aimed to reach six peaks over 8,000 meters, as a full team, within three years: Annapurna, Everest, Manaslu, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kangchenjunga. The challenge results: in 1988: Annapurna (8091 m) - 5 out of 6 men reached the summit, 1988: failed on Everest, 200 m below the summit, 1989: Manaslu (8183 m) - 8 out of 8 men reached the summit in 4 teams of 2, 1990: Cho Oyu (8201 m) - 7 out of 7 men reached the summit, 1990: Shisha Pangma (8013 m) - 7 out of 7 men reached the summit.

The Milkman Cometh is a bitter-sweet comedy about an office worker facinated with the simple world depicted on a can of Pacific Milk.

Originally produced for special jukebox machines called Panorams, "soundies" were short musical programs made in the 1940s. This collection features performance footage showcasing four of the greatest big band leaders of all time. Highlights include Duke Ellington's "I Got It Bad and That Ain't Good," Cab Calloway's "Minnie the Moocher," Count Basie's "Take Me Back Baby" and Lucky Millinder's "Hello Bill."

The film is based on the plot of Georgy Nikolaev's short story 'Along the Path of the Indians'. Despite the presence of three actors (appearing as extras), the film contains no dialogue at all — only a musical score. Composed of disjointed fragments of newsreel footage and shot in the style of faded, yellowed film stock, it serves as a philosophical reflection on human life and one's actions in this world.

Tommy Guerrero, Mickey Reyes, Bryce Kanights, Mike Archimedes, Natas Kaupas, Julien Stranger, Jim Thiebaud, Ron Allen and plenty of other legends in the making were all featured in this limited-to-1000-copies VHS masterpiece.
