She finds happiness only when she discovers a test tube to grow a double of herself. Her protégée, whom she has cared for, grows wings and flies away, leaving the queen in despair. In her anguish, she destroys the throne and her house. The women later meet on the highway, where the queen shrinks to nothingness, her ego diminished, as her protégée continues alone.
