Doctor Pantaleon converted to Christianity by performing many miracles until he witnessed the end of the 3rd century. An impressive event makes Pantaleon make the serious and courageous decision to accept the Holy Baptism, to become a Christian. As he was walking down the street he met a child who bit him into a viper and died. So he says to himself: I will pray to Christ to resurrect this child, and if the child is really resurrected, I no longer have any reason to delay my baptism, I will become a Christian, I will believe that Christ is God the true, the Savior of the world. He thought and prayed warmly. Immediately the child came to life and the snake died. Full of joy, Pandaleon runs into Elder Hermolaus, tells him the miracle and asks him to baptize him. And Hermolaus, because he knew who leads to perfection, from that time Pantaleon became an anointed physician.

Now it is industrial development that is wiping out traditional land. Shot on three continents: the USA with the Hopi and Navajo; Amazonia, and on the Bolivian highlands, and in Geneva where Indians of the Americas come together to create an international indigenous network.

In this zany tale, three storybook characters experience the dangers and temptations of life while trying to maintain physical and moral integrity. Three well-known animators collaborated to create this potpourri, and though each section was animated independently of the others, recurring threads of story and theme weave the whole into a unified moral fable. Film without words.

A formally rigorous, visually stunning study of colonialism, gender and the body. The title echoes the classic British documentary and evokes a country erased from the world map. The soundtrack enacts a Sri Lankan anthropological text observing a woman’s ritual exorcism. Visually, the film brings together theatrical conventions and recreations of classic film stills, presenting the body in striking tableaux. This remarkable film is a provocative treatise on hybridity, hysteria and performance.

"The radio waves could be the breeze stirring the trees. The pedestrians swim and bob among these visceral transmissions; the total image seems suddenly so ethereal that the film's title, taken from a 1940s pulp magazine, becomes fact. Is the sound emanating from the phone booths or contained inside people's heads? As usual Gehr uses the simplest possible means to effect a subtle derangement in perception. Signal—Germany on the Air is a substantial addition to an oeuvre which is already among the most impressive in American film." - J. Hoberman

In early 1971, the first squatting occupation took place in Berlin-Kreuzberg, carried out by 74 young people who wanted to create their own living spaces in an empty building. The Georg-von-Rauch-Haus and its occupation served as a catalyst for further actions across Germany. The documentary tells the stories of 13 young squatters from “the very beginning” and traces their life paths after they left the Georg-von-Rauch-Haus.

The film is a garden full of flowers and plant leaves. They’re placed in the mouth and down inside the dress neckline; they’re danced with and set in motion. They become overlong toenails or breasts that are gently caressed or maliciously squeezed. All of this goes on accompanied by both classical music and punk. In the end, they wilt.

Documentary film about a research project that is promising at its time, with which the prerequisites for the production of a new generation of computer modules should be created. Especially in the case of common user computers, the introduction of the "X -ray lithograph" in the semiconductor technology can lead to an even unmistakable upheaval. The film describes the research work and reflects on the importance of such a development insertion. An unusual documentation about a work that has little external in itself. - from 16.
