The eponymous castle is the setting for three stories that gradually intertwine. Castellan Vašek offers a place to stay at the castle to singer Jana, who is trying to hide from her angry boyfriend. He is jealous of her and sets out to look for her at the castle with his bandmates. Local man Olin is looking for his wife, who is rehearsing a folklore performance for the village anniversary and has not arrived home, and due to a misunderstanding, he also searches the castle. The last actor is a thief who tries to steal a rare painting from the castle and has to flee from a polar bear. How will this confusion turn out?

Thakur Vikram Singh (Om Shivpuri) is informed by a museum curator that an ancestral sword donated by his father has been stolen. This is important because it bore half the location of a hidden treasure. The other half is on a sword still in Singh's possession, and he must guard it. He finds a thief, Avvtar Singh (Madan Puri) attempting to steal the sword, and stops him. Avvtar grabs Thakur's son, Mohan, and escapes. He is to exchange sword for son at the black hills, but his car is stolen by a thief, who raises Mohan as his own under the name Raju. Raju (Rajnikanth) grows up to be a car thief, and eventually encounters his family as his enemies.

A weatherman comes across a frog on his way to work. When the real weather begins to differ from his forecast, the frog will teach him its natural ways of forecasting weather to save the day.

Nacht und Träume (Night and Dreams) is the last television play written and directed by Samuel Beckett and broadcast on 19th May 1983. It is a wordless play, the only sound that of a male voice humming, then singing, from the last seven bars of Schubert’s lied Nacht und Träume, words by Matthäus Casimir von Collin: "Holde Träume, kehret wieder!" ("Sweet dreams, come back"). Schubert was a composer much loved by Beckett – "the composer who spoke most to him…whom he considered a friend in suffering" (Wiki) Beckett lists five elements that make up the play: evening light, the dreamer (A), his dreamt self (B), a pair of dreamt hands and the last seven bars of Schubert’s lied.

Due to his dedication, R.M. Said gets a "Nur" (enlightenment) from God. Shortly after, he is appointed as a Wali (a dated term for Islamic leader), and becomes the famous one amongst the Nine Great Wali (Wali Sanga). He is known as Sunan Kalijaga.

Legend about Loro Jonggrang's love story with Bandung Bondowoso. When he was newly appointed as Senopati Baka, he was assigned to attack the Pengging Kingdom. However, while he was there, he was recognized as the crown prince of Pengging, who had apparently been kidnapped by the Baka people when he was still a child. The angry King Baka personally led an attack on Pengging and was killed by Bandung Bondowoso. The son of the Baka king, Loro Jonggrang saw his father die and held a grudge against Bandung Bondowoso. When Bandung Bondowoso was about to propose, Loro Jonggrang also put forward a condition to build a thousand temples. When there was one less temple, Loro Jonggrang made the cock crow as if it was morning. Bandung, knowing that Loro Jonggrang was cheating, cursed it, making it the thousandth and largest temple.

Falsely accused of murder, Na Ok-min is arrested. In the next cell, Suh Pil-sun sits, his eyes focused on the ceiling. He has an old booklet and a necklace with a strange pattern. He gazes at Ok-min. Ok-min's mother is murdered. Pil-sun dies in prison. Pil-sun's old booklet and necklace have been placed at the head of Ok-min's bed. Afterwards, Ok-min is found not guilty and released from jail. Those involved in the murder of Ok-min's mother are killed off one by one. Suspecting that Ok-min is the serial killer, the investigators look into every detail. They realize that the murders occur when Ok-min is asleep. It is revealed that Ok-min's spirit had been killing those responsible for her mother's death.

The function of both popular and underground music in contemporary culture has long been a point of inquiry for Graham in his analyses of the social implications of cultural phenomena. Here he documents Minor Threat, a "hardcore" band from Washington D.C., in a performance at CBGB in New York. Distinguished from punk music in that it developed in suburban areas, hardcore, as typified here by Minor Threat, is seen by Graham as a tribal rite, a catalyst for the violence and frustration of its predominantly male, teenage audience. The raw quality of Graham's documentary style mirrors the crude energy of his young subjects and the hardcore subculture of the 1980s.
