A musical about a young girl, Naitou, whose mother is assassinated by a jealous stepmother. The stepmother abuses Naitou and prevents her from taking part in the traditional initiation for all young girls. The stepmother is finally punished by an old lady who symbolizes justice. The film's originality lies in the fact that it is narrated through dance and music by the Ballet National de Guinée.

On December 28, 1982, André Hazes enters the stage of the Royal Concertgebouw, a hall normally reserved for classical music. Hazes reached superstar status a year earlier with the album Simply André, which takes first place in the album chart and the hits 'A little love', 'Say nothing more', 'No streamers on the wall for me', 'It last round' and 'She believes in me'.

Julián, a car salesman, must reach the sales objective (the hundred points of the main title) to fill the whims of his loving wife.

There was such a kingdom, there was such a king, who took the advice of stupid and ungrateful people and issued an order that all old people, under threat of death, must be disposed of by his subjects. But in that kingdom there was also one brave man who did not give in to threats and orders and secretly continued to take care of his father with love and respect. And it was his grandfather's advice that saved the kingdom and perhaps all ungrateful and selfish people will come to their senses even today through our fairy tale.

Initially the subject of this film was the multiple threats constantly implicit in cinema ... especially in the perceptual acts of unifying with which we respond to the discontinuities of editing. So the basic images were knives and salamis. But as the music was reworked, highly charged objects began to appear and reappear; instinctual navigation took over, as always, in the editing room ... and the film seemed to adopt another subject entirely. As in all our work, many issues are in uneasy balance, and the film refuses to find a center. Words in the film refer to its own intertextuality. Who is speaking here? And who is addressed?

Meet France’s mysterious master of photography, neglected in his own lifetime but since feted for helping position the medium as an art form, and as an inspiration to surrealists. This meditative Arts Council documentary introduces Eugène Atget, a former actor who began to document the streets of old Paris from the 1890s. Little is known about his early life and the three decades he spent capturing, in eerie tableaux, urban spaces since lost to progress. The film includes dramatised scenes from his life, including his belated ‘discovery’ by American photographers Man Ray and Berenice Abbott, who published many of Atget’s works after his death in 1927.

A poetic picture story of everyday life in Berlin, supplemented, contrasted and broken up by text quotes from Christa Wolf and Bertolt Brecht.

An experimental German film

Transitions is a film of inner life and speaks of time, reality, power. It depicts the disquieting sensations of being in-between-between falling asleep and being awake, between here and there, between being and non-being. These metaphysical themes are evoked by the central image of a woman in white over which layers of images and sound (voices) are superimposed.

Entirely comprised both from dissolving still photographs and a simple narrative story line taken verbatim from a newspaper article in the The Arizona Daily Star is I SAW JESUS IN A TORTILLA. It recounts the story of Ramona Barraras, a New Mexican woman, who saw the face of Jesus while rolling her husband's burrito. In an attempt to manipulate the media to her advantage in publicizing this miraculous event, the media ultimately exploited one of the most significant events of Mrs. Barraras' life.

Women's unwritten history is passed down through memories. Shows women talking about their experiences of the Great Depression in Australia. Covers such areas as: aboriginal women; paid and unpaid work; mothering; marriage; women's participation in the political struggles of the 1920's and 30's.
