Ten-year-old David joins a sailing club. He trains hard and helps repair the sailing boats, but people have to take turns actually sailing. The club chairman Vala wants David to sail with his son Olda. Olda's previous team mate Béda has grown too fast, but with little David Olda could win a place on the regatta to Finland. Olda is arrogant and accustomed to winning with little effort; he bullies David and calls him "Greenhorn". He makes David his servant and blames him when things go wrong.

Téo Hernandez's series of Memories... transcribes perfectly the filmmaker's vertiginous ability to capture a city from a few well-chosen places; the juxtaposition of architecture and people creates a mosaic of sensations, exalted by the syncopation of the zooms and cascading shots, clues to the "manner", the "filmmaker's paw".

Young Betty Pellegrino (Orla Conforti) is a strong-minded 13-year-old, left on her own to deal with life in the poorer districts of an industrialized Turin. A remarkable approach to Goethe's novel "The Sorrows of Young Werther": on the one hand, a film adaptation that strives to remain faithful to the work and its words; on the other hand, an examination of Goethe's authentic story, his experiences that inspired his writing, and his retrospective comments as an old man. The dialectical connection between these two models brings to life experiences of love, loneliness, and deadly despair, leading in one case to desperate suicide and in the other to poetic processing.

Things start to look up for Sizwe when he befriends Mandla, another young boy who lives in the area, but one day, while Sizwe and Mandla are out playing together, Sizwe’s father and his buddy kidnap Mandla, taking him hostage. Mandla, however, is a resourceful boy, and when Sizwe brings Mandla’s father to help out, the trio manage to get the upper hand. In the end, the mean-spirited father and friend are beaten, and Sizwe is given a happy new home with Mandla and his caring dad.

A shy postman longing for a relationship is reading love letters he is supposed to deliver.
