In 1934, young archaeologist Robert returns to his home in Salzburg after spending several years working in Crete. He wants to officially break up with his original fiancée Hannah, as he has fallen in love with his employer's wife. But his personal plans get caught up in the political turmoil of the Austrian coup year. In a small village, he and Hannah find themselves caught between the fronts of the coup plotters and the Home Guard troops. A defenseless deaf-mute is to be lynched as a scapegoat. To protect him, Robert invents a mysterious "man in the reeds." But Hannah also eventually falls victim to the unrest.

On her next visit, the aunt gives Jirka her husband's carpentry tools. Jirka meets Jakub (M. Holub), an old carpenter, who helps him repair an old kitchen sideboard. Jakub shows the boy how precious wood the sideboard is made of. The two become friends. However, their mother is about to throw the sideboard away

The story of a successful Greek immigrant, the restaurant owner Giorgos Kozompolis, who emigrated in the mid 1960’s from the poor village of Sotirianika, in Mani to the developed city of Heidelberg in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Tick has an argument with her father and leaves the house. Tunsmai receives a letter from his old boss saying that Panee, his sister, is coming to town and wants him to take good care of her. The next day, he goes to pick up Tick by mistake. At work he has over heard that Tick is the daughter of Minister Pratuan. While Tick is at work as a cat-walk model, she sees her father coming in and he sees her. As she is running out, she gets hit by a car. Later Tunsmai finds her and brings her back to her home.

In the vaults of Concordia University's Visual Collections Repository department slept some 30 ½-inch black-and-white video open reels. They contained Jean-Luc Godard's 14 lessons, spread out from April 14, 1978 to October 21, 1978. The sessions consisted of long and brilliant series of digressions (often uninterrupted), initiated by questions from the audience or from Serge Losique. There are dazzling reflections on editing, economics, actors and actresses, war, political commitment, the media, and we witness the setting in motion of a unique thought.

A film is about the great Urdu poet, Mohammad Iqbal. He is reminisced by his son Justice Javed Iqbal, who says, "The centenary of AllamaIqbal, my father, which is being celebrated in India and Pakistan shows how his memory is still held in the two countries." Iqbal's Tarana-E-Hind or the Song of India became the battle song of freedom. The poet sang, "Religion does not teach us to hate each other. We are all Indians, and our homeland is this Hindustan of ours."Gandhiji in one of his Urdu letters wrote, "I have sung this song of Iqbal hundreds of times in jail." Iqbal was a poet of the revolution, who penned innumerable impassioned poems during his life time, which ended on April 21, 1938 when the sun of his glory was at its zenith.

About the soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the famous ballerina Irina Alexandrovna Kolpakova. The ballerina is shown in completely different situations — she conducts rehearsals, teaches, takes exams at the conservatory, learns English, rehearses numbers from the ballet 'Giselle,' and feels nervous before the start of a performance.

Alfred's friend Ernst Kissling recommends that he show his uncle the Schöller Guesthouse, whose guests are quite eccentric. Landowner Klapproth, who truly believes the guests to be lunatics, is thoroughly amused.
