The unique editing of the film, in which cuts of the train running according to an unreadable sequence of rules are overlaid with radio weather forecasts, '60s pop music and FEN broadcasts, and the inexhaustible camerawork and fearless cutting bring the scenery seen through the train windows to life in this ambitious film. This groundbreaking work was an independent film at the time, but was released in a hall rented by the filmmaker and drew an unprecedented audience. This is the starting point for his posthumous film Bokutachi Kyuko A-Train de Ikirou!

Based on the best-selling novel by Nobel-laureate Heinrich Böll, this drama is a passionate indictment of Catholicism. Hans Schnier (Helmut Griem) has earned his living as a clown, though he is in fact a very covert sort of social critic. After enduring a difficult childhood in Bonn during the Second World War, including his mother's fanatic Nazism, he is appalled to discover many of the people he knows and loves swept deeply into involvement in the Catholic Church.

Film adaptation of the earliest known poem in the English language (written in the 8th century) which examines the ancient and heroic tradition from which the feudal system started to grow. The film, as in the poem, is an elegy lamenting the not only the reality of a lost heroic tradition, but also the loss of innocence which made possible its unquestioning acceptance.

Hsu Feng plays Shu Mei, the female assassin engaged to Ling Tien-yu, a swordsman played by Tien Peng. As they are fighting against the Mongolian army that is invading China, Shu Mei takes up a suicidal mission to assassinate the Mongolian chieftain. Again, Hsu Feng appears as a brave swordswoman in the film. In the beginning, she sacrifices her love life and then dressed in white, she fights with dual blades, chains and bare hands against the enemy. Hsu Feng not only shows great fighting skills but brings the character vividly to life. It is not surprising that she won Best Leading Actress at the 1976 Golden Horse Awards. Moreover, the impressive face-changing trick is seen in the film.

Hjalmar is unaware that Werle had an affair with Gina and that their 14-year-old daughter Hedwig is not his child. Gregers moves in with the Ekdals with the intention of allowing unsuspecting Hjalmar and his family to share in the "happiness of truth". Hedwig is entirely devoted to a wild duck, which lives on a pond outside their house. When Hjalmar learns the truth about his daughter, he wants to leave his family. Gregers advises Hedwig to kill the wild duck so that her father, impressed by this sacrifice, will return home. A quick, unabashed look at the downside of "kids' cereals" and hard-sell marketing, through the fictional brand Sooper Goop; an overpriced, overprocessed, candied, chemically-enriched, bad excuse for nutrition. (Not to mention a here-today, gone-tomorrow one; by the end, Sooper Goop is already being outsold by Eatum Sweetum, made from a different grain, but with the same drawbacks.) "This film is about 'nothing.' Hints of dramatic 'loss' are imaged throughout, but the primary effect of the film is to give, through fleeting and ephemeral visions, a sense of something which almost exists but unhappily doesn't." - Marilyn Brakhage "Absence" is perhaps the most extreme of all Brakhage's Super 8 films and one of the most extreme of all the films of his tenuous and complete uprooting: a vision of a groundless existence, in which all the things we are used to knowing and using in our daily life are totally absent. (Fred Camper)

This documentary is about martial arts; about their beauty and their lethal potential, their history and their present status. It is also about their place in a modern society whose escalating crime rate and violence is making the knowledge of self defense a necessity for more and more ordinary people, especially women. The viewer is bombarded with a series of top rated martial artists. Fifteen top practitioners of Karate, Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Kendo, Tai Chi Chuan and Classical Oriental Weaponry pay tribute to the martial arts master of all time, Bruce Lee. Their expertise is brought to life before the probing eye of the motion picture camera, that delves into the Americanization of these arts. In addition to exhibiting their deadly skills, the masters talk honestly about themselves and about their mystical, spiritual and philosophic thoughts on the ancient art of self defense.
