Song of Ceylon was commissioned for the short-lived German TV-series Telekritik and broadcasted in 1975. In Telekritik documentary approaches were analysed and made available for a critique of contemporary TV, its aesthetics and modes of production. Other authors for the series include Hartmut Bitomsky, Rainer Gansera and Klaus Wildenhahn.In the 30-minute movie, Farocki shows and comments on excerpts from the film Song of Ceylon by Basil Wright (and a short segment of Eisenstein's Mexico-fragments). Farocki's voice-over describes part of the movie, focussing on details and montage. He also uses didactic and descriptive drawings and intertitles to confront the classic documentary and its stylistic approaches with contemporary TV.

While on the run from some people, Osama seeks refuge in a remote guesthouse run by Mansour, a miserly old man, and his wife Salma, a young and beautiful dancer. The late 1960s saw the rise of the ‘colour field’ vogue which arose in abstract painting in reaction to the emphasis on individual expressive gestures in Abstract Expressionism. ‘Colour field’ artists like Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman sought to empty the image plane out into broad, flat areas of colour. With its humming bars of pure hues, Light Traps is like a moving ‘colour field’ painting – a ‘colour field’ film. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2013.

The game silent movie based on the story of the same name by Alexander Stepanovich Grin is made by the children's amateur studio “FIGA” of the detachment “Caravelle”, created and directed by Vladislav Krapivin and repeatedly described in his works. The movie tells about the adventures of little Tom (Gennady Khabinrakhmanov), who left home to search for his father, Captain Harold Bering (Vladislav Krapivin), who went on a voyage. It will be interesting first of all to fans of V.P. Krapivin's works. The role of the father is played by Vladislav Krapivin himself.

A hand places a tiny unrecognizable object on a plain blue field. It looks organic and could perhaps be part of a small insect. The hand enters again and replaces the object with another which seems to be the same kind of thing but which is also unrecognizable. This is repeated and each time the new object is placed in exactly the same place and each time it is slightly bigger than the one before. By the end of the film, the object is relatively large, but tantalizingly unrecognizable.
