This 16mm film reflects VALIE EXPORT's dialogue with the medium film: "Back then I was occupied with trying to find out how you can use this small machine to do things with various formal, artistic or performance-like sequences on celluloid: cross-fading, rewinding and starting over again, not having any clear pictures. In this project I was interested in moving towards the camera and moving away again."

Los Nuevos was the only feature film directed by Paul Delfín. It was based on a story by the writer and journalist Edgardo Pérez Llina, who published articles on cinema in the Lima newspaper Correo with some consistency during the 1960s. Los Nuevos aimed to offer a chronicle of youthful anxieties at the beginning of the 1970s. All the topics of sexual awakening and "political commitment," of generational rebellion, protest against the "system," and the general "dissent" as the order of the day, were reviewed in an erratic plot, filmed in imperfect black and white.

A camera follows a young brunette dressed in red as she cycles through a forest to meet her lover. Their romantic walk becomes the basis of a commercial promoting Floramin honey-based makeup remover. While it includes typical advertising elements—storyline, production imagery, and product shots—the film stands out for its gentle tone, slow pacing, and repetitive promotional refrain. Sensual close-ups of flowers and bees accompany the gradually intensifying “Floramin” logo, creating a hypnotic effect, enhanced by soft acoustic guitar music that subtly contrasts with the upbeat voiceover.

Filmed in 1973 with camera Cannon 814 de Super 8 film, “The Squirrell”, is Luis Argueta’s very first film. Argueta, who at the time was studying engineering at the University of Michigan, began a trip up north to the Lelaneau peninsula with the intent of filming a documentary about migrant workers picking cherries. During this journey, Argueta documented a series of invented events and made an improvised road movie. The documentary about the cherry picking Michigan migrant workers was never produced.

The conceptual artist John Baldessari performs an amateur magician’s rendition of the holy miracle.

The film was made with the aim of putting an end to the romanticization of the lives of model girls that has been prevalent in some popular press in recent times. The film portrays in a detailed way the unsafe and degrading environment in which the girls live.

In 1972 a Chinese archaeological dig excavated the tomb of a woman who had been buried for 2,100 years. The body was so well preserved that many different scientific teams were requested to dissect and examine it to determine what it could reveal about ancient Chinese civilization.

An architect in a construction company gets close to a young girl who has just graduated, whom he met while she was a student doing an internship at that company. Their relationship becomes more and more serious, and despite a few small frictions, they stay together. He is going on a business trip by plane to Libya. The plane crashes on landing. He survives, but remains immobile. Despite such an accident, she stays by his side.

This short documentary portrays Chang Yingwu (1921–1984), a man whose extraordinary body became a site where medicine, spectacle, and state power intersected. Born in Beijing and later relocated to Taiwan, Chang lived with acromegaly, reaching a height far beyond ordinary human scale. Once exhibited, later enlisted, and eventually turned into a public figure through sport and media, his life traces how an anomalous body is disciplined, displayed, and normalized by social institutions. Filmed with restraint rather than sensationalism, the work observes Chang’s daily gestures and silences, allowing his presence to expose the fragile boundary between individuality and social gaze.

This film documents the completion of an art project by Paulo Bruscky in the street, which consists of the reopening of the Boa Vista bridge, built in 1633. The artist placed a huge pink ribbon with a bow on the bridge entrance, sidewalk and pedestrian crossing, causing traffic congestion in the city center for several minutes and creating unusual situations for passers-by.

The population and local politicians protest against further industry, but it is big finance and EU politicians who decide and now the city's industry is to be expanded with petrochemical plants.

Through the eyes of President Sam Steinberg, the film depicts the company’s growth from a hand-cart and bicycle, then a horse-drawn delivery wagon, to an international, diversified corporation. “A company can't stand still," he says. “It must grow”.

Somersaulter-Moats and Somersaulter's first independently produced film is a surreal meditation on a childhood phobia. At once humorous, playful and twistedly obsessive, The Silverfish King follows a narrator as he describes an early fascination with a cartoon character that morphed into an irrational fixation. Following the twists and turns of logic and accompanied by idiosyncratic doodles, The Silverfish King is reminiscent of the stories of Gogol, Poe and Kafka.

Tells the story of a family that experiences chaos after the father dies. Sofia's stepson drives out his stepmother and two siblings. Finally he dies in an accident. When her mother dies, Sofia is adopted by her rich neighbor, while Erwin is who knows where. When he is slandered by his stepsister, he intends to run away but is then helped by a young man who is none other than Erwin.
