Cinematic Era: 1973 Vintage

This film was produced to present the Eames proposal to make an American Revolution Bicentennial celebration. The exhibition would compare and contrast the lives of Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, providing a cinematic trip for the viewer through the exhibit, using animation, live-action, and still photography. It was later used by the USIA to provide information to the embassies and museums which would be hosting the exhibition.

It was from Dahomey (now Benin, Africa) that the cult of the deads was exported - through the slave trade - to Brazil, and Haiti. The film narrates the modern story of this ethnographical, religious culture. A team of initiates could film troubling images documenting initiation ceremonies and the sacred lethargy that can take as much as seven, or even eleven days, and in which the body started decomposing itself. Then, the resuscitation happens.

Sophie's mother, who immediately sympathizes with her daughter, undertakes to find a way out, why not a in a London clinic?

The film is a call of conscience about the disappearance of forests in the country. Great industrial needs have created a greater demand for wood, the necessary expansion of livestock and agriculture is causing the destruction of forests in regions where only forests can provide an acceptable economic return. In view of the irrational progress of tree felling and in view of the slowness with which state institutions intervene in this problem - determining for the future of the country - it was decided to make this film.

One year after the creation of the National Assembly of Community Representatives (1972), a new power structure established by the government, significant changes had taken place throughout the country. This documentary records the most important of these transformations, as well as the working methods of the Assembly. It follows the consultation tours organized by the Legislative Council, during which basic forms of grassroots organization are discussed at the community level. The film also draws a parallel between life in the countryside and in the city.

Rebuild, in the same place of events, a trial held in 1969 to four men, accused of sabotage for having caused the fire of a forest plan that caused the death of eight people and large material losses. At the same time, it analyzes retrospectively the circumstances that contributed to the occurrence of the crime.

This is one of those abstract animated films in which colored, richly textured light moves in a black, three-dimensional space. The pictures and the electronic score are unified in a strict structure made of three main sections which progressively develop three subsections. This film may look like it was made using computers or video to the uninitiated, but only animation and much optical printing are to be seen herein. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in partnership with iotaCenter and National Film Preservation Foundation in 2007.

He has placed the young girl in the place of his son, whom he has been separated from for years. Together with Leyla, Kemal will also heal.

Young Knut Formo has gone to the mountains to hunt the great white reindeer. He spends five days hunting the buck, but never manages to catch it. We experience the tension as the rifle is aimed at the buck and his fingers curl around the trigger, and we experience the disappointment when the buck runs away after the shot. Knut gradually becomes exhausted. He begins to mix dreams and reality as his strength ebbs away. The fantasy world becomes a natural part of life for a person closely connected to a powerful nature. Based on an original screenplay by Erik Løchen.
