This short documentary takes you on a tour of one of Montreal's first health food stores. The camera scans shelves stocked with all manner of natural foods to which nary an additive has been added: soybean and sesame seed products, wild honey, and even eggs from hens fed on blackstrap molasses. But the real eye-openers are in what you hear between the aisles, from the store's owner and his customers.

The Mangrove Nine trial resulted from conflict between the police and the Black community in Notting Hill that had escalated from the end of the 1960s onwards. The Mangrove case began when around 150 Black people protested against long-term police harassment of the popular Mangrove Restaurant in Ladbroke Grove. A documentary film, 'The Mangrove Nine' (directed and produced by Franco Rosso), was made in 1973, and includes interviews with the defendants recorded before the final verdicts. The Mangrove Nine film portrays interviews with the defendants recorded before the final verdicts were delivered at the trial, as well as contemporary comments from Ian Macdonald and others.

Meena feels stifled by her mother who makes all of her choices for her. When she visits her aunt's house in the village, Meena falls in love with Krishna. But Krishna is already engaged and Meena's mother is planning her wedding to Sarathy.

The film tells the story of Hz. Ömer, who strove to establish justice throughout his caliphate. During the years when Islam was spreading in Mecca, the pagan Quraish tribe still worshipped idols. The leader of the tribe, Abu Jahl, saw Islam as a threat to his own beliefs. Abu Jahl decides to have Muhammad killed in order to prevent the spread of Islam. He assigns Umar, the son of Hattab, to carry out this task. However, while Umar is preparing to kill Muhammad, he learns that his brother and brother-in-law have become Muslims. Upon reading the Quran, Umar also converts to Islam shortly thereafter. He begins to fight against Abu Jahl and the Quraysh tribe. After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, Umar, who became the caliph, will strive to establish justice in the country's administration.

A middle-aged merchant has secretly married to 4 wives. One wife detects the existence of her husband other wives, and then they all get together to repay their domestic partner. The entire movie shows the miserable merchant trying to reach a compromise with her wives.

Story 4: A husband has a homosexual relationship with one of his workers; the wife threatens the worker and requires too much sex from him and causes to his death. Story 5: A husband entrusts his wife and daughter to a music teacher who is considered inverted and therefore inoffensive: he has relationships with two women separately and together.

Rapid rising water in the river can potentially break the dike and cause disastrous flood endangering the villagers. Miss Dung, Chairman of the Commune, must find a way to persuade people to destroy the minor dike and sacrifice some parts of their houses and land in order to protect the main dike.

A Few Amusing Episodes from the Life of the Village of Golodranka One day, a young peasant named Stepan lost his mare, who ran off pulling a cart full of hay. Stepan spent the whole day scouring the forest roads in search of her—only to find the stubborn beast calmly standing in his own yard. Furious, he swore to chop her to pieces with an axe. Another fellow, Artyom, ran away from home to escape his quarrelsome wife. He climbed down into the deepest village well and flatly refused to come out until his wife swore never to scold or hit him again. But what truly amused the villagers—both men and women—was Roman Sotsky’s antics. With a straight face, he assured a frightened constable that the strange man who had appeared in the village was "clearly a pure-blooded Sicilist."

During the 1970s I shot, helped to make, or commissioned about ten document films, mainly about film-makers. This film is one of them. It was made with Dan Ochiva, who acted as cameraman on about half of the footage. I shot the rest, and then edited the film. It is a record of a conference held at the State University of New York at Buffalo on March 22-25, 1973. Among the participants filmed were Gerald O'Grady (who organized the conference), Will Hindle, Stan Brakhage, Jonas Mekas, Robert Creeley, Bruce Baillie, Scott Bartlett, Hollis Frampton, Ken Jacobs, Ed Pincus, Stan Vanderbeek, Ed Emshwiller, Sally Dixon, James Cox. Commissioned by the Maeght Gallery with the exhibition of Joan Miró, organized by the French Ministry of Cultural Affairs at the Grand Palais, which opened on May 17, 1974 in Paris. This film was shot in six days in Montroig del Camp (at the Miró) and Tarragona during the implementation process, by Josep Royo, a tapestry by Joan Miró. Five people worked for eight months in the realization of this tapestry, using wool 1200kg and 600kg for the warp. The total weight of 3500kg and a half was six meters wide by 11 meters long. They need a purpose built weaving loom. The day of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001, the tapestry was placed in the lobby of one of the towers when they were demolished.
