This documentary film is an exploration of Québec’s feature film industry. The film takes a look at the people who have succeeded in this unique milieu (Geneviève Bujold is one) or failed; at its movies, which run the gamut from hard-core skinflicks to such highly acclaimed films as Mon Oncle Antoine, and at its audiences, which number in the millions.

A camera recorded one frame every minute (day and night) for two separate three-week periods in autumn and spring. The film is shown on two adjacent screens, each having a soundtrack that was recorded on a sampling basis. The left hand screen was shot at the autumn equinox and the right-hand screen at the spring equinox. The structure of the film is based on the rotation and tilting of the earth as we pass from summer to winter and back. The centre of the film coincides with the equinox and is the point at which day and night are the same length on both the left and the right screen.

Experimental film loosely based on the life and work of artist Manuel Mérida. The artist provided a realistic biographical account of his life, which was freely adapted by the filmmaker, who used delirious chance as a creative method for this cinematic collage.

Two 14-year-old girls Radka and Jožka are going through adolescent difficulties. One of them wants to buy a new dress, which her parents, who are building a house, cannot give her money for. Edgar Koltz travels back to Germany from his vacation destination on Mallorca. He is called out under this name shortly after landing at the airport. Koltz receives an envelope containing an address where he can obtain further information. Later, the driver of the 8:10 train discovers a body on the tracks. The police have to establish whether there is a connection between the discovery of the body and the bank robbery in Munich.

For Robarte el Arte [Stealing the Art] (1972), Juan José Gurrola together with Gelsen Gas and Arnaldo Coen supposedly stole an artwork during Documenta 5 in 1972 and represented it with an asterisk of scotch tape on a rock in the Wilhelmshöhe Park. Sequences of this performative action are montaged like in a silent movie with panels of cut-up newspaper text blocks, installation shots from the Documenta exhibition inside and outside Fridericianum, and scenes from a horror porn movie based on the story of the serial killer "Goyo" Cárdenas – his case became a sensation on Mexican media in the 1940s and inspired several copycat murderers imitating his crimes – and underscored with a dramatic soundtrack. With Robarte el Arte, the artists satirically destabilize Documenta’s institutionalized role to chart the current art developments and thus setting the foundation for a so-called canon as Eurocentric.

Docudrama about the 1958 Canadian mining disaster

A film-concert. Featuring songs by Dunaevsky, Solovyov-Sedoy and other Soviet classics, performed by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Leningrad Palace of Pioneers (artistic director Vladimir Badulin). Against a backdrop of a continuous succession of Pioneer songs and dances, the film also features documentary footage from the life of the Leningrad Palace of Pioneers in the early 1970s.

A seamstress, Rena, unable to deliver a dress due to the strict safety measures of the hotel in which a famous football player is staying, gets really upset and hits him. Witnesses to the incident believe that she is his mother. Soon, several major representatives of other football teams beg her to persuade him to sign a contract with them.

A middle-aged man, married with children, leaves his family to follow a hippy girl. Among the girl's acquaintances there is a boy who is expert in making moccasins and the man tries to exploit him commercially. But the attempt fails and, since he has become jealous of the girl, the man kills the boy and the girl. Then he goes back to his family.

This film, set at the end of the 18th century, in a provincial and noble environment raises the question of humans forced to lead a meaningless life. The rich Transylvanian noble youth, Kálmán, absorbed the spirit of freedom and enlightened culture in Paris. Returning to his father's estate, he encounters a superstitious backwardness and an orgiastic storming of violence and instincts.

In one shocking moment, a conservative bigot finds out that one of his adult sons is gay and the other is the kept "boy toy" of a wealthy Japanese widow. Predictably, his first reaction is overreaction.
