Hicran works as a cloakroom attendant at a nightclub. On New Year's Eve, after a year filled with poverty and hardship, she meets Orhan, a flirtatious young man. Orhan finds true love in this beautiful and innocent girl and brings order to his aimless life. However, Orhan's older brother does not approve of him being with a poor girl. Hicran cannot muster the courage to accept the young man's love and commitment due to the differences between them, and she leaves him in despair. However, a coincidence will bring the two lovers together again, and Hicran will be proven right in her fears.

This film is about cats--actually, one very clever cat. The title is a play on the French quatuor, meaning quartet, but the chorus is not the usual alley-cat variety. The cat in this film is talented indeed. He is both pianist and piano, trumpet and trumpeter and, if need be, even becomes the music--a pulsing rock and roll--or a whole swarm of alley cats.

Parmin is always rejected by his wife, Sinta, when he wants to have sex. Sinta was traumatized by her half-sister and stepfather, so she married Parmin to cover up her pregnancy. Sinta falls into a lesbian relationship with Sumiyati, who is a lesbian because all her sisters are women, and her relationships with men are strictly monitored by her parents. Sumiyati already has another girlfriend, Novita, a wife who has a husband with another sexual disorder: sadism. Sumiyati was "raped" by her sister-in-law, and started to have feelings for men, especially when she also played with Parmin, instead of introducing Sinta to Novita. Sum also then falls in love with young man Arman. Sinta-Novita's relationship didn't last long, because her husband, who was abroad, returned home. Sinta speeds off using Novita's gift car and dies.

Riding a white horse, Purbaya, the horseman from Cimande, comes to Sukajadi in search of his parents’ graves. There he runs into an old man who tells his past story. Purbaya is the son of Hamidah and Meureksa, who were murdered by Argasuta. Argasuta was in love with Hamidah and he sent Hasan Botak and Bagus Bantar after her. Upon hearing this, Hamidah turns hysterical and tries to kill Argasuta. But he survives, and Hamidah instead dies in the hands of his underlings. Then the story returns to the present where Purbaya takes his revenge on Argasuta. The film is filled with blood, castrated limbs, and exploding organs.

A haunting animated public information film from the 1970s about closing all doors every night to prevent fire.

Two filmmakers stand within a surrounding and completely mirrorized cylinder, body trunk stationary, hands holding and pressing a camera's back end flush to, while slowly rotating it about, the surface cylinder of their individual bodies. One rotation circumscribes the body's contour, spiraling slightly upward with the next turn. With successive rotations, the body surface areas are completely covered as a template by teh back of the camera(s) until eye-level (view through cameraman's eyes) is reached; then reverse mapping downard begins until the orginal starting point is reached.

The Popular Revolutionary Army (ERP) was a military unit of an Argentine political party, looking up to Mao's cultural revolution as its model. Its way of fighting involved kidnappings and assassinations of government officials as well as representatives of foreign firms. The crusade of the military junta against its terrorist practices later became a pretext for state terror against civilians who had nothing to do with ERP. Gleyzer's so-called "secret film" records the kidnapping of a manager of the meat processing factory and cooling plant Swift. The partisans request an improvement in the working conditions in the factory in exchange for his release.
